Any Comments or inputs on the quality of this product. Found the 10 inch skillet and griddle for 14.99 each in walmart and amazon, but this comes with an additional 8 in skillet and 6 inch sillicon pot holder and a handle mitt ..

I love my lodge gear, cook a load of bacon in each when you first get them. Minimal soap and hot water for cleaning. Add a little season with veggie oil and then make sure to take excess off.

I have one for camping/five for at home use.

Lodge is one of the better inexpensive brands from what I've read. I think I remember seeing 10" and 12" skillets for around $10. Don't count the other crap. I have a griddle that just takes up space and the 8" is kind of small to do much with. I would just keep an eye out for a 10, 12 gets a bit large and weight becomes a factor. Just my opinion.

I actually love their griddle, but, yeah, not a lot of use for an 8" skillet. I've got two of their deeper 10" pans, one of the shallower - don't recommend it, the flat bottom is only about 8" - two of the griddles, and one 12", plus a couple of dutch ovens. Lodge isn't the absolute best cast iron, but they're consistently decent. You'll want the black scraper for griddles, and you'll absolutely need a chain mail scrubber. Always scrub out, dry on the stove, wipe with oil, hang. Takes less than a minute after use, and they're the easiest cookware to maintain if you keep it up.

Agree with others here. I have a 10.25" and 8". I found the 10.25" to be too big sometimes, so I bought the 8", but it is too small. I am waiting to add 9" to my set, which I think would be the ideal size for me, sp for things like omelette.
But yes, I do like them and they are not too much effort to maintain. We use them every day.
