I’ve had good experiences previously with Adorama. Also this isn’t a question (but this is?)

Sorry. I went over the limit of 140 characters, so I guess my adjustments didn't save. Maybe I'll take a risk. Thanks for you input.

I jumped and placed my order. Crossing my fingers!

My experience has been that Adorama has been similar to B&H. (They’re a mile or so apart in NYC and seem to have some similarities.) They’ve got their issues but I’ve had largely positive experiences at both. If you have any issues I would genuinely be interested to hear because I haven’t, besides a less than stellar in-person experience.

I go the Arc for my main family room when it first came out and have been waiting patiently for a sale on the Gen 3 Sub. This is good, but do we have any idea if it could go any lower for the upcoming holidays? At this point I'm gonna wait it out.

stop costing me money....

Side note if anyone can answer: I have a vizio soundbar right now (this system [costco.com] - I don't use the sub/rear speakers because my apartment is too small). I also have an echo studio. I haven't honestly been super impressed by the audio quality for the studio. How much better is the beam than the vizio? My logic is to sell both and get just the beam instead. Does the beam work well from watching tv to playing music via the sonos app or casting to it?
I'll be finding out tomorrow. I have an older vizio and I'm tired of dealing with it's issues so I'll be giving the beam a try. My room isn't huge and we mostly use it for regular tv viewing.

I have every Sonos speaker currently sold, the Beam is my least favorite. Sucks for music, compared to literally any other Sonos speaker including the One. It is decent for TV/movies if you pair it with the sub. This thing has very little bass, good for dialogue and probably great for apartments or town homes.

My new favorite Sonos speaker happens to be the Move. It sounds great, looks great and love being able to take it around wherever I am. I'd suggest spending the $300 on that unless you really need a sound bar without much bass.

See a soundbar with little bass sounds good to me. I keep it at 10 or 20% sadly cause I live in an apartment and the guy above me is already annoying. Thankfully I knocked on his door once and politely explained that the floor is thin and my desk was shaking and he keeps it down after 8pm for the most part (he was listening loudly that night at like 11:30).

You said music quality sucks. Is it because of the lack of the bass or was it something else?

Are you guys making sure to plug into the dedicated HDMI ARC port on your TV's ? Straight from Sonos "Sonos Beam connects to your TV's HDMI-ARC port. Most TVs have two to four HDMI ports, one of which is labelled ARC, which stands for Audio Return Channel. The HDMI-ARC port syncs audio and picture, plus automatically pairs your TV remote to Sonos Beam."

Yes. It happens even with the Sonos ARC.

I have both an LG C8 and recently upgraded to the CX. The C8 had a slight sync delay. However the CX via eARC is spot on with audio sync. I believe it's on the LG side. Other TVs don't seem to have that issue.

How does this compare to vizio 5 channel soundbars?
I am waiting for the costco vizio 5.1.4 for $299 again. I am not a fan of vizio tvs but for some reason I think their soundbars are the clearest out, with full range sound, solid mids, and don't have this weird 'compressed' sound I get from most of the other brands. I don't know if I have heard this sonos but I did at least try other sonos in the stores. This is only my experience from messing with all these in the store, but I have already returned a samsung for this reason. If you can get to test before buying that would be great.

I was having issues with my Beam until I swapped out my HDMI cable for a newer, higher quality cable. Didn't think it would make a difference but turns out it did.

Same. I don't think we will have to wait long. Sonos's sale kicked off the Wed before Thanksgiving last year.
I highly doubt we'll see the Arc discounted. They can barely keep them in stock.

This thing is awesome but the only solution I have found is to change it to pcm (stereo) and that ain't happening with my surround speakers. Going to try the hdmi to optical converter next, it's supposed to make it less

I may have to try that when I get a beam for the C8 now that it's in the bedroom. I did use the packaged HDMI when I originally connected the ARC to the C8. I am using a higher quality cable with the CX so that could be the variable. Thanks for the suggestion!!

Can you adjust the sync setting in the sonos app under TV audio sync, to match it up?

Want to buy. Praying to the SD gods for such a deal.
Just hope there's a glitch that they honor. Last year it was Costco who honored the Sonos beam glitch.

You can use a slightly modded ikea Symfonisk to use any sub as a Sonos sub.
