I’ve had good experiences previously with Adorama. Also this isn’t a question (but this is?)

Sorry. I went over the limit of 140 characters, so I guess my adjustments didn't save. Maybe I'll take a risk. Thanks for you input.

I jumped and placed my order. Crossing my fingers!

My experience has been that Adorama has been similar to B&H. (They’re a mile or so apart in NYC and seem to have some similarities.) They’ve got their issues but I’ve had largely positive experiences at both. If you have any issues I would genuinely be interested to hear because I haven’t, besides a less than stellar in-person experience.

I still can't resolve the issue with my beam and LG oled b8. Audio sync is off. Anyone?
Have you tried going into your SONOS app and going to TV Dialog Sync?

I am a total newbee when it comes to sound systems and I would appreciate if anyone can educate me or send me a resource where I can educate myself.
We recently bought a house and I don't want to have wires running all over. I heard sonos wireless speakers will be great.

1- If I buy this subwoofer and the soundbar, do I need anything else to set up surround sound?

2- I heard we can add more speakers later. How many more speakers do I need to add the best sound effect for an open hall with TV in 1 corner?

3-Can you please recommend the best speakers to add to this system to make it complete?

4- Will I need to buy a receiver?

Appreciate your help.

I'm trying to start my first sound system ever , sound bar woofer for my television . I was thinking the Bose 300 sound bar and 500 woofer. Should I go for this instead ? Ignore if I'm comparing Apple oranges

Just a reminder for any Costco members that the shadow version will be $10 less starting tomorrow. Otherwise a good price. https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/14545844

What is the difference between the costco shadow version and this version? Thanks

RPO has the SUBG1US1BLK for $489. I'm guessing that is the first gen sub? Not worth saving the $110 for older tech?

They sell the older models which is why they are on sale. Same with the One SL speakers which are outdated.
No, the SL is current. Some folks just don't want microphones and voice assistants in their speakers, and don't see the need to pay for such.

And I generally disagree that Costco sells outdated Sonos products.

Did anybody mention that Sonos currently have promo going for people who owns older model? (like Playbar, Playbase, or Play 1 3 5) all you need to do is make sure your device is registered and accept this offer at Sonos website then promo applies automatically on next purchase. I just ordered Sonos ARC with 15% discount. Total came around $680 (before tax). Just want to make sure that people are not missing this rare opportunity. Sonos ARC is backordered but mine will be shipped in December. This article is just for your reference.

The Series 1 sub is legacy, and won't work with the Sonos "S2" app. There are some products that will work with both S1 and S2 systems, some legacy products that only work on S1, and some new ones (like Arc) that will only work on S2.

(I just bought a pair of Play 5 Gen 1 used from eBay that are S1 only, but I plan to use them by themselves, separately from my other S2 gear. That may turn out to be a somewhat painful experiment, but worth a try for the $$$. Especially with what SungH mention a couple of posts above; turns out each play 5 gen 1 qualified me for 30% savings on a Sonos product or system. I'm pretty sure that is non-transferable, and it probably only on equipment that the previous owner didn't use for the 15% or 30% "upgrade" discount.)

I imagine the Gen 1 sub would sound great, but it doesn't have the memory and processor to work with S2 and have newer features.

stop costing me money....

Side note if anyone can answer: I have a vizio soundbar right now (this system [costco.com] - I don't use the sub/rear speakers because my apartment is too small). I also have an echo studio. I haven't honestly been super impressed by the audio quality for the studio. How much better is the beam than the vizio? My logic is to sell both and get just the beam instead. Does the beam work well from watching tv to playing music via the sonos app or casting to it?
Anything Sonos is much better than the Vizio. Vizio is good like if you're saying Beats headphones are good. But Sonos would be Shure headphones. Not the same level.

Don't forget to check your Amex offers. I checked and Adorama had a "Spend $250 or more, get $25 back" through 1/4/21 to stack with this deal.

You do not need a receiver. You can add speakers later, preferably two sonos one sl speakers for surround

If money is no object, buy the Arc and Sub Gen 3. You can add Sonos One or Sonos SL later as surround. That will give you true surround sound when you're ready. You do not need a receiver. They are all wireless minus the power cord thats needed for each speaker.

For a cheaper setup, go with the Beam, Sub Gen 3, and two of the Ikea Symfonisk.

SL is not current it is outdated model. One gen 2 is the newest model which costco does not sell.
