Ya they can. I use play n charge as I always do. And ya I think in general it just feels better then one s controllers. And way better the 1st gen Xbox one controllers.

They still use AA. Or you can buy a separate rechargeable battery pack kit. With the rechargeable battery pack you can recharge via the usb-c port on the top of the controller.

You are actually wrong. There are the new controllers for the Xbox Series X and Series S. You can tell by looking at the D-pad.

Do these work well as bluetooth controllers for Steam? IIRC, the older controllers were really spotty with just straight bluetooth.

I am absolutely loving the new controller. On paper one might think it hasn't changed much but it just feels great in hand.

Nice deal. Probably won't see cheaper for a good while. Recommended.

If you have the previous generation controller and it works fine, there's no point buying the new version unless you want a new color or player 2 gets the old one. The difference is not worth it.
