Regarding the new concave d-pad (which is apparently the same shape as on the pricy Elite controllers): at first blush before playing I was optimistic, then for the first couple hours I was a little weirded out about it, and now a few days later I love it. Now the previous-gen controller's flat d-pad feels far inferior. The XS controller makes playing d-pad games on Xbox fun again.

There won't be a better price on these brand new controllers for a while. I enjoy mine that I bought a couple weeks ago full price. It has better tactile grip underneath and can charge via usb c on top. Kind of a downer on that as my charge station is for micro usb but such is the way of technology I guess.

100% agree. The dpad feels amazing and one of the best improvements. (I never did try the elite but have heard similar good things)

I'm still getting used to the share button myself.

There is one that comes with a usb c cable. Wish I saw it before I ordered. About to cancel now.
