This is a 4k blu-ray player. You should probably mention what this is in the title.

Grabbed one for pickup an hour away. Was hoping for it to go on sale at this price! Why is this not getting more attention? Should be FP. Very good deal.

Is there any reason to even consider this if you have an Oppo 4K player? Been a long time since Oppo did a firmware update.

Just Get a Xbox One X for $200-$250 used, or One S for $150-180 used.

No need for standalone player.
Xbox one x doesn't support Dolby vision in the Blu-ray app. It also messes with the atmos track to add in system sounds

Xbox One X or Series X can't come near the viewing experience. I have all 3 products. Dolby Vision, tone mapping and the ability to change HDR settings make this a no brainer.

Does the Oppo have Dolby Vision and HDR10+? The Panasonic also has the HDR optimizer, which can help in tweaking the picture quality for your particular display. Build quality is probably not as good on the Panasonic though.

I'm driving a non-HDR projector with it, but yeah it may not offer both. I use a Lumagen Radiance Pro to simulate HDR on a SDR display. Thanks.

I did a lot of research between this and the UDP-203 and the biggest difference is the Panasonic has the streaming apps so you can get the full quality of audio and upsampling from the player itself as opposed to using the TV you have. Also, you will get full dolby atmos and not be limited if you don't have eARC on your TV. I went with the Oppo because this model wasn't out yet and the Oppo has slightly better picture quality. But of the available models out there, this is probably the best without going into overpriced audiophile models.
