Always pass on an open box controller but I'm in for a new one. Don't want to risk it not working and they don't offer open box ones for the blue controller. Great deal though if your living life on the edge haha

Me too. 2AA last about 25 hrs or so for my xbox gaming, and i have a stack of AA rechargeable batteries ready to go anytime. It takes 5 seconds to replace them. It beats cables and the constant thought of recharging the controller or even the thought of being tethered to it boggles me. When I am done playing I just throw the controller somewhere on the couch. I am not looking forward to that with the PS5.

Is there anything worthwhile with these new controllers? I have controllers all over the place from my XB360, XB1S, and soon my XBSX. So I'm good, right?

You would need a usb-c cable (not included) to connect to your computer. That's what I use. I was able to buy one off of Amazon for $8. Nice thing about using the cable is you don't need batteries in the controller at all.

I bought one of these a couple weeks ago at full price. Called Best Buy this morning and they processed a retroactive price match and refunded the difference.

Mostly more of the same. Controller feels a little more comfortable. There is an added share button for quickly screen recording or sharing screen shots. Triggers and bumpers are a little more responsive. Analog controls don't "click" anymore which is nice

Just got Walmart to PM and used my $20 gift card from the Spider-Man PS5 fiasco. For literally $50 I got the new Spider-Man (absolutely amazing game) game for my PS5 and a new Xbox Series X controller for my Series X. Now that's definitely a slick deal!

Do these have any new tech in them, like the improved haptics on the Ps5 controller, or is it all just external only? I don't have either console but use both the PS4 and Xbox controllers with my PC. I've always like the size/ergonomics of the Xbox controllers better but the new haptics and adjustable trigger tension on the PS5 controller have me intrigued... assuming that at some point that functionality will be added to whatever PC driver are needed.

I placed my order for the open box and then created the deal. This morning when I woke up I also placed an order for a new one since that sale started in case the Open Box one wasn't so "excellent"...and BB promptly cancelled it saying they can't verify my info.

Try again...cancelled again. Looking at my order history, only 1 of my 6 controller order attempts was not cancelled and is still processing...yep, the Open Box one.

So, good luck to everyone getting a new one because I cannot get it.
(Hmm, should I thumb down my own deal as "unable to replicate")...haha
