RTINGS has posted their review for the H6150G series.https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h6510g

Quote :
Unlike the H6570G, it displays native 4k content perfectly. It has an outstanding contrast ratio and incredible black uniformity, so it's a great choice for watching movies in dark rooms. However, it's not ideal for wide seating arrangements because it has narrow viewing angles and you lose image accuracy when viewing off-center. It's okay for casual gaming thanks to its fairly low input lag, but there's too much lag for competitive gaming. The built-in Android TV offers a ton of apps available to download and the interface is fairly smooth to navigate.
Rtings gave it a 6.7 overall, which is relatively impressive for this set at this price point.

Jokester.

You can’t. TV ram is embedded in the motherboard as is the processor. It isn’t like the PC ram that you can just swap out.

Achievable. You need a hot air soldering gun and supply of ram chips, presumably 54 pin.

I bought this TV a couple of weeks back and put it in the garage/gym/mancave. Honestly the picture is not bad and the Android OS seems fairly responsive. It doesn't compare to my 49 and 55" Sony 900e's or 65" Sony 950g when it comes to HDR and DV, but its an overall decent picture quality especially in standard 4k. I purchased the Visio 5.1 sound bar that is on sale for $149 at Costco/Bestbuy/Sams and now I have a really decent secondary home theater for $390. I used my Bestbuy credit card for the TV and got $10 back in Bestbuy rewards which I applied to the soundbar. I have been following the TCL thread as well and it appears that more issues are arising with the Tcl then with the Hisense,

I have one of these from months ago, paid $450 for it.
Periodically the menus slow down to nothing and I have to reboot it.
You can literally have to wait 45 seconds after hitting the power button before it shuts off, or pushing the apps button to get to main menu can take 45 seconds. Huge latency.
After the reboot it usually goes just fine.
Still a much better flaw than Vizio's random sound Netflix issues that lasted 3 months recently.
I have Hulu, Netflix, Disney, Hallmark, and Kodi on it.
That's what I notice too. It's slow after a deep sleep. Ok during the day. Chromecast works inconsistently.

It keeps getting re-posted.

Sets were briefly available at full price, but it appears that the $250 deal won't be available again until the 28th.

Yep exactly. I would not recommend this for older people or anyone who's disabled. I had to unplug twice already.
For those with smart home devices, fairly easy to plug this tv into a smart outlet (wifi) or otherwise to make power cycling easier. I learned that trick with some of my home security cams that occasionally need power cycling. Much easier to tell Alexa to turn off the outlet than for me to be climbing around and unplugging all of my devices that need to be rebooted.

Best Buy delivery was awesome. Lots of notifications and came at scheduled time. Box was perfect and two delivery people carried it into my house. Truck was Penske so I assume Best Buy actually delivers these straight from stores themselves.

Picture quality is crappy. HDR my foot, can't see anything in dark scenes. I did picture adjustment and all but can't do anything when the panel is cheap. Anyone have any idea how TCL from Target is faring ?
What are you expecting for $249.00? I mean really? It's not advertised as an OLED.

As far as the TCL from Target it's colors are not good. Everything appears to be washed out. The volume control with remote will drive you crazy as it does not sync quickly and you will go from low sound to concert level noise in a second. Looking forward to getting this one to replace the TCL. Have had a 55" Hisense for over 3 years with absolutely no problem at all.

My Samsung started doing the random Netflix sound. I thought I was going crazy

I bought this TV the first time it came on for $250, so have had it for a few weeks. Love it. Good picture for the value. Android TV interface is sluggish as others have noted but manageable.

One big issue. On certain apps, the sound comes out distorted—tinny and echo-ey, to the point of it barely being listen-able. I'm connecting to a sound bar using optical out but problem happens with Bluetooth pairing or with internal TV speakers. It happens on some apps we use a lot (HBO Max and Disney+), but not others (Netflix and Amazon Video).

None of the sound settings fix this problem. Some Reddit users have encountered this issue with other Hisense Android models. Clearing the app cache as some suggested sometimes fixes this problem but it always comes back.

Anyone else encountering this issue?

With the android problems can't you just by a 30 dollar Roku stick and plug in? This is what I want to do

I owned a Hisense 65" for a year: it's a Cheap TV with average picture quality. What frustrating me most are Hisense TV remote and built-in Android TV OS. Most of time the remote is unresponsive and I have to unplug the TV power cord to make the remote to work again. Android TV constantly runs of of space or became stuck. If I have to another chance to pick a budget TV, I will invest a little more to get a better TV instead to get rid of my year-long frustrations.
