Best Buy also has 65" VIZIO OLED65-H1 4K UHD OLED SmartCast TV on sale for $1499.99. Shipping is free, otherwise, select free curbside pickup as an alterative option. Thanks tamilarasu.ku
Note, availability for Curbside pickup may vary depending on location.
So sick of all of the users that post "I'd prefer to spend a couple hundred more for an LG or Sony." 1) your math sucks (try twice the cost at least for 65" OLED), 2) your mom might think your opinions are special, but we here at SD like facts.
Jazz that response up with some logic, drop the stupid "couple hundred more" or go back to your room until you are ready to talk to the adults
In other news, anyone that loves OLEDs (should be anyone with eyeballs that work) then you have to love that Vizio is normalizing lowering pricing on these. They are the people's TV maker even if you don't buy one bc they force companies Like Sony and LG to be more honest with their pricing. So go gettem Vizio, and while I don't need a TV, I do hope you sell a ton of em!
What are you talking about? This vizio is $1500 and the LG CX 65" is $1700-$1800. That's a couple hundred more. Where are you getting twice the cost? If you're seeing the vizio 65" for $900 somewhere, I will gladly buy it.
This tv has temporary image retention issues which can last up to a couple of days according to rtings. So if you accidentally leave it on a static image, you might see that ghost image for a couple days after.
This isn't the permanent one that's not really an issue anymore. It's the temporary one. Still a great tv for the price though https://youtu.be/2DJGJS534Ho?t=325
I can't believe firmware updates are needed to get these OLEDs working. Surely LG Display, LG Electronics, Vizio, or Sony Electronics for heaven's sake could have gotten a developer kit to test HDMI 2.1/VRR if they'd asked.
I would confirm that. There is more information saying that is not the case than your example that claims it is working. Not trying to belittle you, just want people to be aware that other than your example, no one else has this working (myself included).

Price has just come down on open box stock. For example, I purchased the 55" 3 days ago for $719. Today price is $684. I phoned BB and they immediately refunded the difference back to my credit card. My tv happened to be in perfect condition but missing box. I couldn't find a better deal anywhere than $684.
I'm waiting to make sure it actually isn't frame skipping.
One post said they got it working, and then said the 60 frame mode for the game they play is perfectly smooth now. So people are just getting the indicator, without making sure it works.

I think that's way premature to say it works if you didn't actually test with a game and confirm with a camera or something.

Sort comments by new. Anyways for 900 bucks it was worth the gamble.
Yes, I know how reddit works. Here's another example:
Says it's working, but then says only 1080p. Which isn't even the problem. So always be careful with people saying something is working when the vast majority of people say otherwise.
I'm not saying it's not worth it a gamble, that's your choice, just keeping your expectations in check.
Lots of people seem to be quite confused given all the new formats and combinations. People are saying things are working without understanding what the actual issue was.
Any thoughts on this or the X900H? I'm torn between the two.
Taking price away, there are zero reasons to ever choose an LCD over OLED. So it really just comes down to cost, and only you can decide that. Personally I'd go for 1 size smaller OLED over a 1 step larger LCD ie 65 OLED over 75 LCD.
The X900H is great but even a great LCD is worse than the cheapest OLEDs from any brand. That will remain true until MicroLED comes to fruition which is years away.

That would be because Cold War doesn't support 4K 120hz on PS5, only 1080p @ 120hz. In fact, I believe there aren't many games out there at the moment that support 4K/120hz on PS5. Do a bit more googling. I'll report my results tomorrow.

Ya, so it doesn't look like you can test, but I don't know about ps5 since I don't console game.
It sounds like people are doing work arounds to trick the console into showing 4k 120hz, but everyone then reports other issues that to me suggest they haven't fixed anything and actually made things worse.
Someone like digital foundry would have tested this. Even if I got this to show, I wouldn't post it as working since I don't have the eye for knowing that. Maybe my phone can capture but I doubt. My brother, if he was around then I'd be more confident since he's insanely sensitive, but he's played at pro level, to be expected.

Literally no one has reported this not even Vizio and people on reddit bug Vizio constantly. Also, Vizio has a thread up saying it doesn't work.
If this worked, Vizio would be the first to tell us. They jumped the gun multiple times already saying it was fixed in patch notes.
