I can confirm the 4k 120hz works on ps5. Port is in use and working.
Again, which firmware are you using?

What's your source? The most recent firmware as of today is 5.10.14.1-1 released 14OCT2020.
All i know is that the relative is using the 4k 120hz port and its working on ps5. I don't know the version. She updated firmware when she got the tv and its working.

I would confirm that. There is more information saying that is not the case than your example that claims it is working. Not trying to belittle you, just want people to be aware that other than your example, no one else has this working (myself included).

I bought this tv last time it was on sale. I had a 49" Samsung Q8DT which I returned. This tv has amazing picture and It can do Dolby Vision with my amazon firestick 4k and HDR10 with PS4 pro and Xbox One X. The gaming is seamless and beautiful and tv gets plenty bright for my living room which has like 7 windows Smilie

It seems that almost every HDMI 2.1 device has major issues. That being said, I kind of want to just risk it and make this my main PC monitor and hope firmware at some point fixes the bugs.

Yup, like I said, this is probably, a case of mistaken info.

In this case, the poster isn't the source, it's his relative, saying something works while no one on reddit has said otherwise or even mentioned an update.

I'd say that if this was fixed, someone would have said something. No one reading this should take this as it works until confirmed by others.

Anyone else worried about Vizio as a brand? I've seen a lot of their early LED models go tits up. I would even be more concerned about this one, sorry, not trying to thread crap just looking for an OLED since I missed out on the Costco LG.

Then pay more for lg. That's your only option. Yes, others have raised the concerns and if you go to the reddit, the problems are worse than lg and Sony. So is saving $400 or so worth it to you?

Depends on how often you use your TV and how much you care.

Only you know if it's worth for you.

So sick of all of the users that post "I'd prefer to spend a couple hundred more for an LG or Sony." 1) your math sucks (try twice the cost at least for 65" OLED), 2) your mom might think your opinions are special, but we here at SD like facts.

Jazz that response up with some logic, drop the stupid "couple hundred more" or go back to your room until you are ready to talk to the adults Smilie

In other news, anyone that loves OLEDs (should be anyone with eyeballs that work) then you have to love that Vizio is normalizing lowering pricing on these. They are the people's TV maker even if you don't buy one bc they force companies Like Sony and LG to be more honest with their pricing. So go gettem Vizio, and while I don't need a TV, I do hope you sell a ton of em!

Mannnn this is exactly what I was waiting for. Idk if I should buy this or wait til next year. Reading these comments has me second guessing it now. I wasn't able to score a PS5 anyways so I feel like I should just wait to see what comes up, but I don't think it'll beat this.
Yeah, this is insane pricing. I wasn't sure I would ever see a sub 1K 65" Oled. But that is the beauty of Vizio. I am not getting one bc I don't need one at the moment, but if you do I hope you love it and that they figure out all the bugs. I can't imagine Vizio is putting these on market to just not even care what people think. This is them exploding into the market and basically buying market share. They are investing too much this to be a piece of carp imo. Good luck dude.

Got a couple weeks ago. As other poster stated image quality is superb, im blown away by it.

I would not buy this set without buying the Geek Squad extended warranty (+$189). Ive already had to factory reset the TV twice because smartcast home screen wouldnt load.
Have you tried under menu-system-reset admin-then soft power cycle? When I have issues with smart cast I do that and it works every time.

Right!!! A friend of a friend of a friend said it's working. Very Likely she doesn't know what's she talking about or the game isn't even 120fps. There are very few games that can run at 120fps.

It is a no brainer at these prices. If you currently have an LCD display, get these. If you are a gamer spend the extra $200 on the LG and Sony's for the working HDMI 2.1 ports and VRR. They all use the same LG Display produced panels.
