Aren't they all huge. 5 quart is the standard size and you get some in 4.5 quart. Everyone says the 3.5 quart "mini" is useless as among other things it is underpowered. This means the realistic small size is 5 quart. So what you said makes no sense.
Disagree. I have the mini. It's perfect for my use. No need to pay hundreds more for a bigger unit that you don't need.

Good comparison info:

Batch sizes may be a little generous. YMMV

Consider a Flex beater to decrease amount you have to scrape. My aftermarket version works well.

cancelled my order. This Pro model is too big for an apartment kitchen. Now looking for either the 4.5quarter or 5 quarter artisan model. Check this for how much space it will take: Also looks ta the size of the accessories. With the 5QT you need to be baking a lot!!!

Costco has KitchenAid Professional Series 6 Quart Bowl Lift Stand Mixer with Flex Edge for sale on 249.99.

This has more accessories too, isn't this a better buy?

Thank you OP. This is $20 more than the KitchenAid direct deal from a few weeks ago, and also misses out on the 7% CB (another $13). However I am happy I opted out of that one, and have purchased from target because:

1) returns are way easier with Target (you have to make a phone call to KitchenAid and they also warn about prolonged returns processing due to covid/holidays)

2) many kitchenaid orders were being cancelled/backordered into December

3) I understand this part of the deal doesn't apply to most, but I had a 5% birthday coupon and another 5% off for using my red card, which closes most of the price difference.

However, as someone who really resisted buying this appliance for a long time, I think reasons 1+2 alone probably are worth paying an additional $20-$30 for.

This is useless for families with less than 6 members. If you are having a party, yes, then that's great.

I think hands down, the KitchenAid "Artisan" series has the best sweet spot for the device in terms of form, function, utility, convenience and space. So, now, only the issue is price for the "Artisan"? Does anyone know where to get the bets deals? Kohl's has it for $279 less $75 in "Kohl's" bucks later this month.

Why is lift better
bowl lift is always better because if the bowl is pretty full, the tilt will push the ingredients out of the bowl sometimes. It gets messy. The bowl lift is much cleaner
