180 Kohl's cash is really worth $60 to $80 at best.
Could you explain how you value Kohls cash? I was assuming it is more like 2/3rd face value, given you can't apply coupons when you use Kohls cash and one never buys anything from Kohls without atleast 1/3rd off already deep discounted prices.

I don't put a scientific method to it, but I'll add a couple of things to your points. I never buy anything unless it's over 50% off. Regular prices are obnoxiously high. Quality of stuff at Kohl's is pretty crap mostly. Better deals elsewhere especially through Slickdeals. Kohl's model is irrelevant now.

So you charge this by putting it in the glass? There's no dedicated charging base?

I picked up the Sonicare Perfect Clean 2-pack from Costco after our current ones died after ~10 years. We haven't opened it yet so I'm debating whether to wait the DiamondClean deal

I've used mine for 8 years. Battery just beginning to act up. Will replace the battery myself. Just Google the instructions.
Exactly the same here (except a Braun/Oral-B) 8-9 years easy with my original Triumph Professional Care 5000. I have a battery waiting to be put in, but this one still holds a decent charge for a few days off-charger, but it is always on the charger, so rarely have to worry.

I have a couple newer ones for travel and such, so I will say I think the build quality is a little lower on those and Phillips, compared to the older models. I suppose that is more of a norm these days with cost savings and the need to keep consumers consuming more often. : )

Just FYI these don't last long at all. They only last 1-2 years. I have had mines go out and my relatives.
Odd, my current one is 5 years old and still running strong.

How cheap are you? It's already a really good deal.
Woah dude, you havent gotten laid lately have ya?

Just because the price dropped a lot on kohl, doesnt mean much really cause their prices are way off on most things.
Recently started looking for a toothbrush... just wanted to see what this model go for on a good deal to just get an idea..

That is a known issue for the models that have NiMh batteries but the one in this deal is Lithium Ion and these last for years.

For those saying Oral B cleans better studies show that not to be the case. But psychologically it may feel like it is working better because that is the type of cleaning you are used to. Used properly the Sonicare gives better results IMO. I guess it comes down to personal preference here is a review that goes over advantages of both:

same here. My wife's and mine both died in ~1.5 years. We eventually switch to protectivclean. Surprisingly, it works basically the same with the 1/5 price tag. I'd definitely recommend people to go Protective Clean rather than diamond clean now.

Would 40 be an ok price for you? Just go to Walmart and steal it since you want it for free, christ

Was long-time Oral-B by Braun user then for some reason decided to switch to Sonicare and had a model similar to this go out after 2yrs, then bought a 2-pack of these DiamondClean at Costco...only for them to go out after 1yr. All toothbrushes ended up having the metal tip where brushes attach loosen to the point where the vibration would become loud rattling. Because of that, the actual brush's plastic base would end up vibrating more than the actual bristles, and therefore didn't feel like it cleaned my teeth as well.

This is enticing. I was originally debating between the SonicCare ProtectiveClean 4100 and the Oral B Pro 1000. Can anyone speak to the quality of those? My main concern is how aggressive they are.

The Costco deal is much better. This set doesn't include replacement heads and the travel case is non charging. The Costco set includes 2 different types of heads and the latest travel charging case. Just something to keep in mind. You can keep one and gift the other - comes out to $75 a piece.

A model with 2 buttons, one for mode and another for start/stop is much better than this model.
