Lol, these RPGs are old school, they've been around since the 80s. The Final Fantasy series even started in the late 80s. If you were really old school then you would know that. Even this game is a remake of a game released more than 20 years ago.
Actually this remake's battle system is both, I was hesitant but I'm playing it right now and it's the best battle system ever. Has real time actions like gears or war, but also has turned based elements. There isn't a game putt here now with this battle system the way they did it.
Old school huh have you played text base rpgs from the 70s-80s heh

I just don't understand the fun behind these RPG's where are you tell it to do something instead of you actually doing it yourself. How much joy can you get playing it. Maybe I'm old-school but I get more out of something when I'm actually slashing it myself instead of pressing a button to tell the character to slash it for me.

The game is still too linear and forces you to "slow down" in areas for no reason. Unless you loved the original and need to replay it, don't bother. This isn't even the full story from the original FF7

Nope i'm not into turn base garbage RPG. I like actually causing the violence myself is much more funner then tell them the character to do it for you. Watching fancy animation after pressing X or O. I might as well go watch a cartoon.
