Purchased these around 7 years ago at BB when there was a deal for 99$. Still work flawlessly. The bass is little too strong but can be toned down (i keep it about 30-40%). They get pretty loud and the sound quality is absolutely worth it. Can't recommend them enough!
Same, I bought two back then at BB and the bass was stronger. I bought this set at Costco and it's not the same. You can turn the bass max and it's not equal to half the one at BB.

Unbeatable for $100, I use them everyday and they have awesome balanced sound and bass. I also have very expensive hifi but I used the promedias 95% of the time.
that's high praise.
i was going to get these a couple years ago and wound up getting the swan 10B's instead.
I had never heard either of them before i ordered.
Just wondering, have you ever compared them. The swans are pretty good.

These speakers crank! Have them hooked up to my Alexa, primarily for music.

Bought this a few months ago at Costco. Sound is fantastic for music, however I noticed a slight background hum when no music is playing on my Show 8 it is connected directly to. Even completely unconnected, it has a slight hum. I also made sure pro-media dial was on low volume.

Jeez I remember selling these at best buy 20+ years ago
Me too, and I still use the set I bought myself 20+ years ago. The ultimate example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and clearly it still makes them tons of money.

Had these for 10+ yrs, even served as movie studio for medium classroom. Subwoofer blew out and that's the end of it. Aside from the amazing sound and adjustable bass, the 3.5mm connects into the speaker is not gold plated. Often having to wiggle to get the sound equalized, yes there is humming if done properly. Not sure if they updated this but something to be aware of. Yes as others stated for 90 it is unbeatable. Even if the jack is analog/old tech still a worthy setup. Also since the receiver is in the sub, they recommend turning off after 3 days of inactivity which seems annoying.

It's a shame they haven't updated this 25+ year old speaker with BT function. My new system has no 3.5mm jack, it's BT only.

It uses power for its subwoofer when it's not being used. Shutting down causes issue? Anyone experience same?

Yes, you shouldnt turn this on and off. i had the 1st gen one years back and the fused burnt out. since then i currently have one for almost a decade now and it has been going strong. i dont turn it off ever. these are great speakers, better than my other logitech z623. but from my understanding the older gen promedias were true THX certified. these arent but they are still awesome speakers.

Those are amazing speakers period. I have owned the first iteration of these speakers since I still lived in my parents basement. I used them for many hours of gaming, improptu parties, while cleaning and so many other things. Not only did they sound great, they took a beating too. The design has not changed one bit, and I believe the reason is because it's 2.1 that is almost perfect changing it would ruin everything about it. They sound amazing with a reasonable price tag, no changes needed.

Love these speakers. Been using them for a few years now still going strong. A few minor issues is the permanent green led being on. Had to tape it to block the annoying light. There being no power button is a non issue for me. It's one less thing to turn off.

Got these this summer when it was $100 from Costco so price is definitely slick. As everyone mentioned already, subwoofer does NOT have power button unlike previous gen promedia sub. Power light will be always on and it's pretty bright. Also sometime even with volume all the way down, you can hear faint flickering sounds so this can be a deal breaker. Luckily, I have it in office in separate room so not a biggie. Sound quality is absolutely beast for $90, you will not find anything better.

I replaced with the Logitech Z623 when it was on sale for $100 at Best Buy and am happy with them (obviously my old Logitech Z2300s are better though).
When did it go on sale? I am waiting forever for it. Disappointed that I missed
