Best deal I've seen thus far on the 4th generation Echo dot with clock.

Best Buy also has it discounted at the moment:

Great deals OP - but folks be aware that in the last 3 months they have turned Alexa into a full time saleslady. Ask for the time and in the last few months u get time PLUS "Any time is a great time for gift giving. Would you like some suggestions?" This is now in the program deep - no matter the request - and I am gonna gather up my beloved Echos and Dots and sell them as a group on ebay. I don't need a "pop up ad" living in my house...
Straight from amazon support today "Greetings from Amazon.
I understand the concern that you wish to disable the "By the Way" command on your Alexa device. I'll certainly help you with this!
Please accept my sincere apologize in this regard!
As of now, there isn't a option to Turn Off or Disable the "By the Way" command on Alexa device.
To make this right, I've forwarded your expectations to our Alexa development team so that they will look into this and may come up with the best possible solutions."
I must have found that "deep" option to turn off, because mine never follow up with suggestions or ads. Ever.

I think these are just overpriced in general, but I really like the idea of having the clock on it. I couldn't justify paying $59 or whatever, but $39 with a free smart bulb, makes it ok.
Does anyone know how to order the the echo dot with 6 months free Amazon music? It says it's not available for my device (iPhone)

I had an offer on my Amazon account to trade in an old echo dot and get a $5 instant gift card plus get 25% off a new echo device. The 4th gen dot with clock, trade gc and 25% off came to $25 plus tax for me.

Maybe it is "targeted." I've never had this happen.

I've never had this happen either. There's a setting in the Alexa app apparently that stops marketing products to you — simple google search.

And if you search using Google, just wait and see how many targeted ads you'll get. Just sayin'.
