It looks like Best Buy, Amazon, Office Depot, etc. Have all started offering this price before Black Friday.

No. I been using Norton I think 15 years now. The memory thing was from like windows 98 days and has stuck around since.

The price you see is to use this for 1 year. After the 1 year you will be billed an annual price. If you are new, you will get a discount that first year. You are better off turning auto renew off, or cancel it before the 1 year mark. Get a new CD key before it expires. This is what I do. I'm buying now as mine expires January.

It was a memory hog for me until last year when I finally replaced the pc I built in 2007 that had 4GB memory and an Intel Q6600 processor. Any newer pc with a good amount of memory and a decent processor will easily handle Norton without any performance issues.

Just checked my current subscription and I have 317 days left. Plus I have 2 more (15 month) subscriptions in the bullpen. Got those 15 month deals in Jan 2019 for the same $19.99 price. Like the 15 month deal. Will probably wait till Jan 2021 to see if Amazon offers that one again.

Don't understand the fixation some people have with memory hog issues. Most (decent) computers sold these days come with 8/12/16 GIGABYTES of memory. We are no longer in the days of Win 98, XP, Vista, 7, or 8

Yes, that's what I've been doing for years now, but I took that to mean that if you have a current subscription, you would not be eligible for this particular discount as I do not recall seeing that in previous years. Apparently not. Got 1. Repped.
