I would send a message to their customer service; their responses are usually very quick and surprisingly thorough!

The sensor uses PIR technology which relies on heat change recognition (so higher body temperature in the room) so movement is necessary for the change to be recognized. So it wouldn't be a good device to use for scenarios when you'd be still (like working at your desk or sleeping). I can't think of a Z-Wave sensor that has this type of functionality. All of them use partial infrared to my knowledge. Hope this helps!

Don't get this if you have the C7 Hubitat. Unless you have a 500 chip zwave stick sitting around, you won't be able to pair it with hubitat directly.

I don't have a Hubitat C7 hub (did had one but had issues with my environment and had to return it) but according to Zooz, the ZSE40 is integrated into Hubitat?

It is, but there is an issue specific to the Hubitat C-7 platform which doesn't allow non-secure inclusion for S0 devices.

Works with SmartThings but runs on the web apps, not locally.

Battery level causes continual low alerts.
