I'd definitely say 8 wt for you. I have a 6 quart for just myself and it has just enough room to make 2 generous servings for me.

You need the 8qt (and you might have leftovers if you don't have ravenous boys). I have the 6 qt. (Paid $99 for it- THIS is a smokin' deal). This is my favorite small appliance, followed by the Vitamix. There are three of us in our household (one is very old and doesn't have a big appetite). Ours makes enough for six or eight servings (whole meal, or main course, respectively). I want the 8qt, but with the lockdown we don't need it. I've needed a larger one a number of times for gatherings before.
