LIVE NOW: WWW.HULU.COM

Hulu is running the $1.99/month Black Friday special again (renews at same price for up to 12 total months). This offer is only good for the "ad-supported" plan (can't be upgraded to the ad-free plan or combined with Disney/ESPN+ bundle or any other offers or discounts). Deal is scheduled to end at 11:59 P.M. on Cyber Monday (11/30).

The deal is available for "new and eligible returning subscribers" that have not had an active subscription within the past 3 months. If you are an existing customer (or had a subscription within the past 3 months), you just need to sign-up using a new email address.

Make sure you have a setup with a Hulu app or browser that works well with the localized ads or you will experience a black screen for every commercial break!! For this reason it is not recommended that people purchase the ad supported subscription. And you can't upgrade so know what you're getting into!

You can sign up for the Hulu Black Friday 2020 limited time offer through 11:59 PM PT on November 30.

If it's a gift card code then yes!

You have to sign-up w/ a CC first then you can apply your $100 Hulu GC from Coscto:
1. Log in to your Account page
2. Look for the Payment Information section
3. Under Gift or Promotional Code, enter the 12-digit redemption code located on the back of your gift card

Yep, the commercials are mostly the same and louder than the show for some reason.

I've been trying with existing accounts and new accounts and it looks like it actually doesn't allow you to use the same payment info. It rejected my PayPal and one of my credit cards.

Life hack: Put this Hulu subscription on a Discover card. Don't use said Discover card for anything else. They'll forgive the $1.99 charge each and every month since it's below their $2 threshold. Profit!

Edit: If your state adds sales tax to Hulu (mine doesn't), this post is not for you.
I went to my Hulu account to cancel my $1.99 subscription deal from last year a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of a new deal. I used the reason to expensive and it offered me a free month and another year at $1.99 monthly so obviously I took that deal. It did not show up in my account so I called and confirmed that I will indeed get the same price for another year and it will show up once the current subscription expires.
I got in on this two years ago when it was $0.99/mo for 12 months. My account got hacked and the hacker added every premium package to my account. Hulu support was able to remove the premium packages, but they refused to give me the $0.99/mo deal again – not a very good experience.

Did you happen to see if this only available for new customers?
Edit: Per the official terms, new customers and customers that have not had an active subscription within the past 3 months are eligible. You just need to make a new account (and new email) if you are an existing user or had an active subscription during the past 3 months.

" This year, beginning midnight PT on Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 26), new and eligible returning subscribers will be able to get one year of the streaming service's ad-supported plan for $1.99 per month, as opposed to the plan's usual price of $5.99 per month."

not sure what an eligible returning subscriber is???

Some good original TV shows and movies on Hulu. I already have the ad-supported plan.

Run [rottentomatoes.com] was pretty good. Reminded me of the TV show The Act [rottentomatoes.com] (Hulu original).

The Haindmaid's Tale [rottentomatoes.com] & Castlerock [rottentomatoes.com] are pretty good too.

I have the $1.99 from last year. I had decided to pay for the no-ads if the $1.99 didn't show up again this year. I dunno--is it worth an extra $10 a month to see no ads over renewing it with another email address? We do watch Hulu every day...

If you use it alot it's worth it, if you add up all the ads you watched in a month you could have just worked a extra hour of overtime and ended up ahead. Last time I had the ad package it was pretty obnoxious.
