Lowest price I've seen this item for. Current homedepot promo has this for $149 with a battery and charger (vs $179 bare tool normally).

The 1.5AH, 2AH, 4AH and 5AH are NON octane batteries.

The 3AH, 6AH, and 9AH are the Octane batteries.

Now you will always know if it has Ocatane batteries or not.
Also note that Ridgid has come out with their high end 1500 ft- lbs breakaway torque max. Currently $230 at home depot now tool only. I don't expect any deals on this for a year since it just came out a few month ago. (This is even more powerful then the last king, the Milwaukee 2767-20 that was 1400 ft-lbs.)
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../310782220

This current deal is for their medium end with 620 ft-lbs breakaway torque max. This is the best deal I have seen on the tool only. It is physically smaller then the high end above, so it might get into places the other one can't. (***Edited, because I was wrong on the break away torque on this thing. thought it was much lower)

Then the new low end. The thing is VERY tiny in physical size. The last deal had this for $80 after you return some other tools that were purchased in a bundle. It has 225 ft-lbs breakaway torque max. Super small and can get in some of those hard to reach spot under a car.
Last deal was here:
https://slickdeals.net/f/14470571-ridgid-brushless-subcompact-drill-driver-and-impact-driver-combo-kit-with-2-2-0-ah-batteries-charger-and-bag-free-tool-or-2-batteries-199

Then there are the impact drivers. (NOT impact wrench) an impact driver is measured in in-lbs (not ft-lbs). Impact drivers are used to put lag bolts in wood, or long deck screws into wood. They are not used for metal on metal nuts and bolts found on something like a car. Different tool with a different purpose.

And lastly I have confirmed with multiple Direct tools online purchases that factory blemished tools come with the same LSA (lifetime service agreement aka lifetime time warranty) as long as you register it with in the first 90 days of purchase at Ridgid power tools website. (How ever direct tools certified pre-owned tools are not eligible for the LSA.)
Register your tools at this website:

And follow jeff34270 video posted above so you don't have to mail in your receipt.

Yes. Factory blems from Direct Tools get the same warranty as new. Refurbs do not. Screenshot from registration page attached:

It's an awesome price if you already have a charger/battery, but HD's current promo may be the better deal if not. Or you could buy this tool, the $80 battery 2-pack on sale at HD plus the charger.

My first time registering a DTO purchase (I have about a dozen from HD), I was getting ready to print and mail receipts when I tried to click that link! Thanks

Everything I've bought from DTO that was a factory blemished item was brand new in the box. I'm not sure how they determined it was blemished and I've never seen any blemishes. Its essentially a brand new tool with a warranty. There is just an extra step to get the LSA approved and that is you have to physically mail in the proof of purchase and registration so it takes a while for them to approve it but so far so good for me

Yes, blemished in my experience is indistinguishable from new.

No, you don't have to snail mail anything. See my first post above ^^^^

Awesome deal. I've been stalking this for years on Amazon and could never find a new one for this cheap (used hit this price previously). Never had a reason to upgrade with my Dewalt DW292 (~350ish lb-ft corded), but now since I have all the Ridgid Gen5x batteries this is a no brainer - superior breaking torque (620lb-ft reverse) will cover all my needs.

NOTE: Apparently you only get the full torque (620lb-ft) with octane specific batteries (6Ah or 9Ah). The torque with non-octane (2Ah & 4Ah) is only around 450ish lb-ft. This is still plenty for me but thought I'd spread the message.
