The 3AH, 6AH, and 9AH are the Octane batteries.
Now you will always know if it has Ocatane batteries or not.

This current deal is for their medium end with 620 ft-lbs breakaway torque max. This is the best deal I have seen on the tool only. It is physically smaller then the high end above, so it might get into places the other one can't. (***Edited, because I was wrong on the break away torque on this thing. thought it was much lower)
Then the new low end. The thing is VERY tiny in physical size. The last deal had this for $80 after you return some other tools that were purchased in a bundle. It has 225 ft-lbs breakaway torque max. Super small and can get in some of those hard to reach spot under a car.
Last deal was here:

Then there are the impact drivers. (NOT impact wrench) an impact driver is measured in in-lbs (not ft-lbs). Impact drivers are used to put lag bolts in wood, or long deck screws into wood. They are not used for metal on metal nuts and bolts found on something like a car. Different tool with a different purpose.
And lastly I have confirmed with multiple Direct tools online purchases that factory blemished tools come with the same LSA (lifetime service agreement aka lifetime time warranty) as long as you register it with in the first 90 days of purchase at Ridgid power tools website. (How ever direct tools certified pre-owned tools are not eligible for the LSA.)

No, you don't have to snail mail anything. See my first post above ^^^^
NOTE: Apparently you only get the full torque (620lb-ft) with octane specific batteries (6Ah or 9Ah). The torque with non-octane (2Ah & 4Ah) is only around 450ish lb-ft. This is still plenty for me but thought I'd spread the message.
