Costco has the iPhone SE (2nd generation), unlocked, on sale, for both the 64GB and 128GB versions

64GB - $339 ($50 off)

https://www.costco.com/new-apple-...58145.html

128GB - $389 ($50 off)

This is the lowest price I've seen.

thinking of getting this phone for my son. I just want something that will do the job, but will upgrade from his flip phone. Do you think the battery life is good enough for a "cheap" phone for a teenager?
of course it will. He's even going to be in the cool crowd now with the iPhone

I'm looking for a replacement for my Essential PH-1. I think I want the Pixel 4a just to stay in the comfort of the Android environment and for the nice camera, but I'm really tempted to get an iPhone SE. I don't think battery will be a big consideration because I use my phones as a tool and not an entertainment device (except for music), so I don't have much screen usage.

I got this for 200$ a few months back with a Walmart deal. It's pretty fast, I'm happy with it. I see complaints about battery life but I don't think the battery life is that bad at all, at least it doesn't bother me. Then again that's probably because I'm comparing to my old 6.

Would this be a downgrade from a Galaxy s9+ ? I've been thinking of moving over to iOS for a while now and I'm not sure if this is the move or not

Just got a pixel 4a few months ago and I've been eyeing the SE2020 because it's a cheap factory-new iphone for cheap.

but I'll be damned if that screen and that battery isn't pathetic.

Biggest sleeper phone ever. It's amazingly fast (same chip as the iPhone 11 Pro Max), looks like your Grandpa's iPhone 7, and is cheap as hell so less heartbreak if you lose it or drop it. Battery life is mediocre is the main downside, I actually prefer LCD screens to OLED at low brightness but YMMV.

There is no other phone that will last you 5 years at $339.
Wow I was beginning to think I'm the lone man standing who seemed to prefer LCD over OLED, good to know there are others out there.

LCD is superior to OLED when it's 4/5/6/7 inches. When OLED begins to shine is over 10+ inches.

if you want flash back to 19th century, do it man Smilie))

if you get unlocked iphone xr, 11 or xs at this price then it's a deal. but this phone is not worth it. buy this phone at cricket for $110, and buy rsim15 for $10 then at $125 it's a deal.

I went from S9 to this and I'm just happy to own one less Samsung product. I like the phone being smaller & pocket friendly although the software is weird with some back buttons not being thumb stretch friendly can take some getting used to. The samsung lost the music playlist function which might be a Google problem, but regardless, ALL their programs now have ads built in. I had the S4 and then had aged electronic issues so I went to a refub s7 just before the s8 came out. The S7 battery swelled and killed the phone just shy of the 2 year mark so I got a regular brand new unlocked s9 thinking my investment would last at least 5 years. My pampered S9 died just like the s7, but it made it just a few days after the 2 years of service mark, which was infuriating. The iphone is wonky with the settings being isolated to one place and outside of the program/app, but at least I have my playlists back so I can listen to my personal music collection. Phones nowadays all do the same thing, but in different ways. No matter which way you "move", it'll just be a sideways move.
