Thanks. Will return the Gaming PC I ordered and just re-bought it using my Discover card. My previous card has 2%. The 3% difference will net me $30. I have to return stuff to Best Buy anyway.

FYI, this offer is not retroactive for previous purchases in Q4. It only applies to purchases starting November 25th from how I read the email.

save your money and charge electronics in Amex. The extended warranty is worth it. Discover nerfed it and other than saving 5% back either Amex for extended warranty or chase UR points is somewhat more valuable - YMMV.

I believe the max amount you get 5% CB on is $1500, so $75 cash back. After hitting that limit it's 1% CB.

$75 limit = 5%
1% = $15
100% = $1500 so once you buy something for $1500 you're done for this quarter with $75 max earned

YMMV. Discover offers discounted gift cards with their rewards dollars. Bath and body works gift cards are pretty much always 20% off so I personally use all my discover rewards dollars there. I haven't spent "real" money on soap or candles in a couple of years.

Has anybody had issues trying to activate the offer? I logged in and I keep getting an error message saying,

"Oops. Something went wrong.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but the rewards calendar is not working at this time. Please check again later."

Is there a way to activate the promo through the app? Just curious to see if it might be affecting others.
