I have been going back and forth between the dexley and the Dormeo Espo chair. The Dormeo is a bonded leather managers chair, so you miss out on the mesh. It is very comfy from my short time testing in store, which is why I have yet to pull the trigger on either one.
They had a gaming chair for $150 also that didn't feel too bad but i have an oversized knockoff one now that hurts to sit in after a couple hours
Just sat in this and the dexley, this is too narrow but the lumbar was great where the dexley lumbar felt hard but loved the rest of the chair... Not sure what to buy.
I'm 5 11 and went with this after buying the dexley. This is more narrow but I still got fine. I hated the dexley because it does not lock at a 90 degree angle. It always tilts back more which I did not realize when I bought it. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of the dexley
I had the Hyken, but returned it after a different chair I wanted became available. It's a good solid chair, but my biggest issue with it was how hard and uncomfortable the armrests are. Consider ordering some armrest cushions if you go with the Hyken. Also, aftermarket rollerblade wheels fit just fine.
Does that lumbar pillow come out? Or break in over time? Felt hard and uncomfortable in the store in all positions while sitting at a desk
The lumbar support is not supposed to be soft as a pillow for your back. It's supposed to firm to make you sit up and support it. It's a task chair, not really a lounger chair like those "executive" one. if you have back problem, this is a great and comfortable chair to get work done.
Looks like 1 yr ago it was $110. That would be awesome. A few posts had it at $119 and $140. With the whole work from home lately it's likely to keep chair prices higher. I could see $140 again but not lower like $120 anytime soon. $145-$150 seems like average good sale price.
Re: Dexley can't lock in the tilt position. Is this false? Review on Staple says Dexley can hold in the tilt position. Can anyone confirm?
"I did have a little trouble with the tilt lock. After checking installation videos on Youtube, I was discouraged because a few people stated that the Dexley is difficult to recline and only reclines so far and that you have to use knee pressure to keep it back. That is
not so, you have to turn the lock beneath the chair to loosen it to your liking. It was pretty hard to turn, a wet washcloth finally did it. You loosen it, then use the height level handle,
pull it out and your chair reclines back very well, push it in and it looks in the position that you choose. I love this chair and can fall asleep in it."

I share the exact same opinion. Tried them both last week, not convinced by either one.

It felt like it had about 5 degrees of tilt while locked and maybe 35 or so while unlocked
Can anyone comment on how this chair compares to the Costco mesh chair for $100?
I can't speak to how this compares as I haven't gotten the Hyken yet, but I did get the Costco one and used it for a couple weeks and ended up returning it. For me, it wasn't comfortable at all. When I returned it, the Costco employee commented that they had a lot of returns for that chair.
