Hey everybody, this is my first time making a deal post on SD so hope I'm doing it right!
I've been hunting for a new WiFi 6 mesh router system and came across this amazing deal at Best Buy. It's the Netgear Orbi AX4200 system (previously on sale for Black Friday for $379.99) but found it today even more on sale for $349.99 with My Best Buy Member Pricing, so YMMV. Just purchased one today. Please comment if you are able to see the same price as I was!

I got this as an upgrade over rbk53....

Here are the numbers for anyone who cares
Internet speed/package : 1 gig mbps
Ethernet speed on RBK53 : 448...500mbps
Ebternet speed on RBK753: 942 to 953mbps

Wifi speeds
Rbk53 : 200 to 250 all across the house
Rbk753: 348..420 mbps

Long story short if you don't have 1gig internet I don't think it's worth it ..if yes then absolutely
Are those the Ethernet speeds you see from the router or satellite?

Though this is a decent price for the 2pk, Costco has a 3 pk of the same system (one additional satellite) for $ 429 which I think would serve multi level houses better
I wish it was the same system. The Costco Orbi (RBK-753S) doesn't have a modem but this one does. This is a great deal.

Trying to figure out which mesh system to go with. Had settled on the nest WiFi, but wondering if the router on this allows vlan config for pppoe?

It does not have a modem. It is a router with satellite.

How is the Ethernet slower? Are you connecting the Ethernet to the satellite? Is the satellite connected via Ethernet to the main unit or is it wireless?

Watch yourself with netgear, they have a 1 year warranty but what they don't tell you is you have to have a technician plan. I bought the RBK50 unit last year less than a year ago but tech support warranty is only for 90 days. Now if I want to warranty it I have to have there technician troubleshoot. This costs 90$ for 6 months, they will first try to sell you the 2 year plan for $260 and say it's support for all Netgear products. TOTAL SCAM!

My friend has been on the phone with Netgear for over 2 months with these routers. They are not as good as AC3000. Be aware. signal keeps dropping.

In the past many years that I have had routers, I have always looked for one with 2 USB ports to attach my hard disk and make a local backup.

I was looking into a couple of mesh systems and there wasn't an option for attaching hard disk due to lack of USB ports. Is anyone having a similar use case as mine and how do you circumvent the lack of USB?
Almost all ASUS routers have USB.

AC3000 signals drop too that's what I'm dealing with, if he figures out what it is, if you remember please let me know. All I can see is a drop in connection when I run a ping to my isp. Running the same ping with another router no drop.

He bought the $1k for 3 packs one. They keep transferring him around and no one seem to help him with the issue. He had to call his credit card for help. I have the AC3000 and no problem for a while now. I think you may have a bad satellite.

i am agreed on the customer service. Horrible. Most of the time, the whole netgear support is ONE, yes ONE Indian guy answering the phone. Why i know? I called in from 2 phones and one by one was picked up by the same guy. I could hear chicken in the background. OMG.
