Hey everybody, this is my first time making a deal post on SD so hope I'm doing it right!
I've been hunting for a new WiFi 6 mesh router system and came across this amazing deal at Best Buy. It's the Netgear Orbi AX4200 system (previously on sale for Black Friday for $379.99) but found it today even more on sale for $349.99 with My Best Buy Member Pricing, so YMMV. Just purchased one today. Please comment if you are able to see the same price as I was!

I wish it was the same system. The Costco Orbi (RBK-753S) doesn't have a modem but this one does. This is a great deal.
Costco deal has one modem and 2 satellites. I purchased the Costco deal the day it became available (11/20). I was upgrading from Google WiFi 1st gen which was great. Gwifi is old tech but it gave me zero issues for the years of owning it. I set it once and literally did nothing. I was hoping Netgear would do something similar and FWIW for the 5 days I have owned it I haven't had a single issue. Range and speed is improved as it should be. Aesthetically these things are larger and less pleasing. My home internet isn't blazing fast at only 350ish mbps. I have about 20-30 devices connected at any single time.

My two cents on Orbi systems, I had the RBK50 set and I had extremely inconsistent speeds. From 400mbps to unusable sub 1.0 mbps without rhyme or reason. Tried literally everything including warranty replacement. I cut my losses and switched to eero, no such issue since. On paper Orbi should be better, dedicated backhaul, etc but it's plagued by poor software.
I had this issue with Spectrum service and found it was a modem issue. Once I swapped it out, its been consistent since. I've owned mine for 2 years with very little to no issues

Though this is a decent price for the 2pk, Costco has a 3 pk of the same system (one additional satellite) for $ 429 which I think would serve multi level houses better
The one from Costco isn't the same as this.

Just finishing setting up mine this afternoon! I wish this was on sale though as I'm only using one of the two satellites haha.

He bought the $1k for 3 packs one. They keep transferring him around and no one seem to help him with the issue. He had to call his credit card for help. I have the AC3000 and no problem for a while now. I think you may have a bad satellite.
Possibly a bad satellite, it drops for a split second every 4 or 5 minutes. Just enough to boot me off a business call or vpn. Even hard wired it does it. I'm just not going to pay 80 for someone to look at it. For 150 I can buy tplinks or something else from a better company.

I'll echo these sentiments. I put my thoughts in the RBK753 thread, if anyone wants my comparison, but I found Eero Pro 6 to be the better system.

In the past many years that I have had routers, I have always looked for one with 2 USB ports to attach my hard disk and make a local backup.

I was looking into a couple of mesh systems and there wasn't an option for attaching hard disk due to lack of USB ports. Is anyone having a similar use case as mine and how do you circumvent the lack of USB?
So the solution to this is get a $50 raspberry pi which can act as your nas and it will be updated. As a bonus you can put pihole on it and censor all ads in your house. You can get a 3 but a 4 is good with 2 gig of ram. This device will last a good 5-10 years long after netgear stops supporting or patching their gear.

Yeah and you can turn on amazon sidewalk and it can not only snoop on you but your neighbors.

TP-Link deco has USB. Also you can use your old router if you have one that has USB ports attached to it and convert it to bridge mode so you retain all the previous USB functionality you're used to
Thanks for your reply, Repped!!
I will try your suggestion if you I get this router. I'm still researching and found out that next year they are releasing a new band which will increase the speeds a lot. Need to find more...

A.) Sidewalk is optional. I can turn that mess off.
B.) PiHole for the win.

Yes, I have primarily had Asus in the past and I felt they were the best routers; better than Linksys, Belkin, etc

The one from Costco isn't the same as this.
This deal has:

1x RBR750 Router (the unit that plugs into your internet device—a modem)
1x RBS750 Satellite

The Costco deal has:

1x RBR750
2x RBS750 (one extra satellite)

It's the same product with an extra satellite.

Netgear's naming scheme is, as follows:

RBK752 - $350 - Best Buy (2 satellites - the last number denotes the number satellites)
RBK753 - $430 - Costco (3 satellites)
RBK754 - $660 - Netgear.com (4 satellites)

An individual RBS750 satellite is $280 at Amazon. The cheapest RBS750 (open box) on eBay is $255+shipping.

The best deal is to buy the Costco version and sell the extra satellite on eBay, if you don't need it. I have been watching eBay for months and these seem to have a fanatical following over there so deals are hard to find. I gave up and bought the Costco version today.
