i have this headset and it's literally garbage. it's huge and heavy getting uncomfortable after a few hours of use. that haptics r just a gimmick, they seem cool for the first couple weeks, but it's really useless. also the mic sounds horrible

look at the rtings review for this headset, there's much better options for 150.

Agreed! I saw this on sale this week and almost pulled the trigger. Rtings and a few other reviews I saw turned me off to it. I ended up spending about half as much on a pair of Roccat 7.1 elo airs for $85. Trying them out tonight!

I disagree, love mine!

They feel great and I forget I have them on after a while, and I love how chilly the pads are for a while after you first put them on. I switch between these and the HyperX Cloud Alpha S and remember why I hate cords again.

The haptics are not gimmicky in my opinion, they are extremely immersive and will scare the hell out of you at times, it is tweakable ... in FPS multiplayer, the low setting is like extra bass. Honestly, I bought them for this and even the little bit of extra I get with haptic feedback was entirely worth my money.

I read reviews of the "bad mic" but in "hear yourself" testing and asking for feedback online, it seems pretty middle of the road as long as it doesn't get too far away from your mouth. I do have other options like my Blue Yeti available if I need extra clarity for some reason. Also, the Razor software can be annoying as it will sometimes take over your speaker options and will take up resources.

BUT... I did get mine from an Amazon warehouse deal for less, had to re-stick the haptic sensor as it had come lose and stuck to the back of the speaker initially. I really tried to hate these when I first got them, after reading all the negative reviews, just so I could return them to Amazon within the window but just couldn't.

Bought and returned these a while ago. They really are trash audio quality for the money. Even at $50 I wouldn't be satisfied. The haptics may be nice in some games, but in games like Overwatch it's just rumbling constantly even on the low setting and just gets annoying. The 7.1 was garbage too and didn't help with knowing where footsteps were coming from any more than stereo. I ended up replacing them with the m50xbt which was on sale at the time for around $130 and those blow the razer out of the park in every use you can think of. I'd recommend just looking into the Sony headphone deals that are available right now instead.

I have Audio-Technica ATH-M40x's and they are quite nice, sounds good listening to music etc but I don't enjoy them for gaming, actually, some of the sniper rifles in COD MW2019 hurt my ears with those. I have a bunch of other headphones too, kind of a collector or something. Agree that the haptic just does not work with some games.

I guess if $150 is tight, get some HyperX's for less, if you want decent GAMING headphones that have a little "extra" to the immersiveness, then these are FUN. The Synapse 3 spatial effect kind of feels like cheating sometimes.

Ive had this headset for about 9 months and love it. The sound quality is solid and the haptics are fulfilling and easy to control. Battery life lasts for 4hour+ sessions and is never a problem if i just leave it charging whenever it's not in use. I find them comfortable and easy to wear as long as I want - I actually sometimes wear them even after they turn off to just isolate from background noise.

I got a refurb for 100 and and love them at that price point.

I've tried a couple of Razer headsets one Nari Essential and now the Kraken Ultimate. The audio just isn't there. Sounds hollow. I really want to like a Razer headset because my keypad and mouse are Razer too but it's just not there. My Corsair HS70s are cheaper and around great especially with Dolby Atmos enabled on my laptop.

Bought these and returned from Amazon about 2 months ago. I agree with everything the other posters have said. Too big, uncomfortable, hollow sounding, haptics are just annoying after a day or two. Would never buy another Razer headset after these. I've been using my Corsair Void RGB that I got for $50 at Best Buy last year and it blows these away.

The mic on this thing is not good. Sounds like you're speaking into a tin can. Audio quality from the headphones is pretty decent.

What is a good sounding wireless headset for gaming? I dont care for the mic, just want something good n wireless when I play Dead By Daylight or single player games. Was about to buy these before I read the comments here.
