I bought this knife 2-3 years ago in a similar deal. It's been my daily driver ever since. It's a great knife for the price, and since it's fairly inexpensive for the quality, there's no reason to get upset if a household member treats it less than ideal.
Great knife- if I didn't already have the 8", I might go for this. But with the 8", I can't convince myself it would be worth it to get this 7". I have other knives for abuse...
I highly recommend this knife for anyone just getting into cooking or prep work. Extremely functional and holds an edge wonderfully. Enjoy- I'm not getting any, so more for you all.
Hey, I'm a Knife noob. Can you elaborate on this? What's BBB and how can I save more on this knife? Thanks in advance!
I used to be a chef and own probably 20 knives. My advice is don't waste your time with the expensive German knives. I almost never use mine. I highly recommend the Victorinox Fibrox Pro Knives, which are what I use everyday. They are by far the best bang for your buck when it comes to knives.

Second not getting a expensive knife. I used a $30 dexter chefs knife that i put good time on a stone while working in a restaurant

What brand of sharpener do you use to sharpen them? I'm also new to the knife game and want to keep them as best as possible.

Any easy sharpening tool you can recommend for the fibrox knives? Felt. A little dull after 6mo of usage. Thanks!

I'd buy it again if I needed another one.
