You'd buy a $1400 monitor but use built in speakers? That's insanity
Combine this offer with these extra offers (there might be more out there):
10% off when you sign up for the dell newsletter
12% cash back when you use the raktuken.com plug-in, + $10 sign-up bonus
Amex platinum card holders: $100 cash back on purchases of $100 or more
Bank of America card holders: 5% cash back.

I used the dell sign-up offer and the raktuken offer, and it came to about $1304 before taxes, then getting $166 cash-back later.
Too much $

I have the Alienware AW3418DW that I bought from a Black Friday slickdeal 2-3 years ago for about $750.
I love it.

I'd like to upgrade to the 38" for a bit bigger screen and resolution, but not at 2x the price.

If this was $1K I'd be pullling the trigger.

Why couldn't they add hdmi 2.1 to this... I would've been all over it. Just annoys me that it can't reach its full specs. Also a little surprised they omitted usb-c from theirs, I know a number of people that would use it for both work and gaming (myself included).

Why not just use display port?

From what I read, this uses the same LG panel from the 38GN950 that's going on sale at Costco on Friday for $1300. At the same price, Alienware might be better for warranty and just name brand for resale value.

With lots of modern laptops (for work), it's nice to just plug usb-c in and get monitor+peripherals+charging from one cable.

Can anyone link how to sign up for the Dell Newsletter? I'd like that extra 10% off but for the life of me I can't find a way to sign up for it. I feel like I've searched everywhere.
