How does the snapdragon 439 compare to the mediatek octacore that they put in their other tablets?

I have this product from the last SlickDeals and love it. Sound is phenomenal, and my wife and I can also watch (nicely sized screen) and stream our shows and anime from this wonderful tablet.
I can't review on how it runs on games, but for social media, eBay, reading manga, YouTube, shows and anime it outperformed my expectations.

Snapdragon 439 is comparable to Helio P22T and MK8768. About the same.

Quite a bit slower than Samsung Galaxy Tab A7, which is/was $170.

Do you get Full HD with streaming apps like Netflix? That was a huge complaint with this tablet

Just seeing this, and apologize. I don't see the option when I log in the Netflix app. It's streaming in standard quality, whatever that maybe.

Yea, no HD. Only SD for streaming on this tablet unfortunately. It's probably better to go with a Fire HD tablet and add google play

I found that Lenovo has a coupon called EXTRAFIVE.

Just chiming in since I use this tablet along side my PC for streaming while I work, you can have it play in HD Netflix. It's been a while since I had to fiddle around, but I think there was a specific APK version and it works perfectly. Probably easy to find exact info with some google-fu. The shape is great and the sound is great for a tablet this size.

Sound is amazing. Wifi sucks, it disconnects when switching accesspoints for a long time.. i think because its a 1x1 antenna. It also cannot play 1080p 60fps youtube. Have to switch down to 720p.
