AMEX has 25 off 250 (YMMV) so you might be able to stack that here. I'm interested in the sandisk 1tb micro sd card for switch (I have 512GB now and always running out of space) but the price is still a bit high. Any thoughts how we might be able to maximize and get to the $250 mark with another deal?

All electronic devices are. I don't see why micro sd cards would be any more susceptible.

I don't trust Amazon when it comes to SD cards. I would rather pay the same or a little more and buy it from Samsung due to all the fakes being sold.

I was considering getting a 250gb crucial SSD to stick in the extra hd spot on my laptop. At this point, would I be better off just getting a microsd?

Would anyone rec this for a switch?
I have the 400 in my Switch. No problems so far. In addition, Amazon has it for the same price.

I've purchased easily a dozen mSD cards from Amazon over the years. Each one gets put through an H2testw verify before going into service. I've *never* had a fake card delivered, and I've had only two cards fail, one during its warranty period and it was replaced under warranty, the other being used in a dashcam which is, I suspect, the reason for its failure (it wasn't intended for continually writing).

I think you're correct to be wary of fakes and it's good to test *all* cards regardless of the seller. But despite all that I read about fake cards sold by Amazon, I'm not so sure I believe it.

It happens, I had multiple fake samsung cards show up from amazon a year or two ago. I'm not sure if it's good or bad, but they were obvious fakes (good that it was easy to spot, bad that amazon didn't).

To be clear, these were sold by amazon directly, not 3rd party sellers.

Amazon. They made it right obviously, so no real harm done.
