From what I've read, it doesn't matter who is selling the item. The scam AFAIK is a bad actor sends their fakes up to Amazon as part of the Fulfilled by Amazon program, and Amazon then dumps the products in the same bin as their own inventory. So now it doesn't matter who the seller is: your order is coming out of the same bin that has fakes and real ones.
Good you came out on the right side of the transaction. What was the giveaway that they were fakes? Packaging/appearance of actual performance?
It was actually all 3. If I didn't have another authentic card and had just stuck it in a camera or something I might not have noticed.
The text/ graphics/ color were close but were lower quality on both the card and the packaging. The storage size was significantly smaller than it was supposed to be.
If I remember correctly, the storage size was masked somehow (i.e, computer read it as 32gb or 64gb but it only held 8gb of storage)
The 400GB and 512GB Ultra's are minimum of 10M B/s write, but they can be much more.
I have watched on reviewer, where they said it was 50.
Mine was 27 MB/s. That's decent, considering the cost.
Think it's better to get the Samsung Evo rather than the Sandisk Ultra ones? Looking to get a 256GB one for an Nvidia Shield Pro so it will probably need decent endurance.
I just got the 256gb samsung card above from samsung which I compared with Sandisk ultra 128gb class 10 version (not the same as red and gray color like above, but mine is orange font with black background).
The difference in write speed was a lot more than expected.
On mostly video files using Anker usb 3 adapter to my desktop pc, I saw about 70 MB/s on samsung vs 10-15 MB/s on sandisk. Copying a single video file got little better at 20 MB/s on sandisk.

Those SD cards are also on sale, but apparently no one cares...
