It seems like you get an additional 10% back when using a Amazon Prime Card. FYI.

Is this shuckable?

I picked up a cheap synology on prime day or whatever to "get my feet wet" and don't want to spend a lot on hard drives but it's only a two banger so I want some decent storage.

Thanks!

Yes I've been running 3 of these in my nas. Didn't need to do the tape mod with my psu. Picking up more as I recently ran out of space.

If you take into account the 10%CB when purchased with an Amazon CC, this drive comes out cheaper.

BB: $190/14 = $13.57/TB
AMZ: $175 - 10% = $157.50 -> $157.50/12 = $13.13/TB

But if you're looking for more storage/unit (for example because your NAS only has 2 bays), then BB is the way to go.

FWIW, Discover and Chase (?) have 5% CB at Best Buy... which negates some / all of this.

Agreed, if you have either of those, Discover, or Chase (through PayPal), then BB is the cheaper route.

On top of that, since BB is a B&M, you can pick it up in a tax free state, which is what I did and saved another 6.5% in taxes.

Some of us have a 12tb parity drive in our Unraid server and this makes more sense.
