This has HDMI 1.4. You won't be able to get 144hz over HDMI. Typically the 144hz advertised is achieved only over display port. Hdmi 2.0 can get you 120Hz
Question. If i'm plugging this into my laptop, Could it go USB C to display port?
Thanks! Does it make a huge difference? I am only interested in casual gaming ...
I don't game so I only buy IPS panels (best for productivity I'd say) but I know some gamers like VA panels better as they each have their pluses and minuses. It should be easy to do some research on it but I wouldn't say that one type is always better than the other for gaming.
This is HDMI 1.4. Will I be able to get 120FPS on a PS5 with this?
I bought this monitor specifically to use with my series X and I can confirm it runs at 120 FPS at 1080p with hdmi 1.4. Warzone and other games look phenomenal and it's significantly improved my gameplay coming from a 75 inch TV.
I also bought a 27 inch curved ASUS VA monitor thinking I wanted a bigger screen and the difference between VA and IPS was immediately noticeable. IPS was much more vivid and I ended up returning the 27 and stuck with this.
Unless you want 1440p or 4K, buy this monitor for gaming, you won't regret it.
Forgot to add, freesync also works on the console and the stand is amazing.

I dont think this monitor does have HDR option, do you notice the difference between this and 4k TV?

There's no HDR option on this monitor, but I use my 75 inch 4k TV if I need that. I primarily use the monitor for FPS games and my TV for everything else. There's not a huge difference in picture quality, but the 120 FPS is night and day.
