I bought this unit a couple months ago and now I'm tempted to return to get this huge discount. Costco wouldn't just credit me would they?

Bought this a couple days ago when discount went live. Have been looking forward to this since it was listed at Costco. My friend recommended the s9+ but at half the cost, I can give this a chance first. Have loved our cheapie Roomba we got from a neighbor so anything is a step up from there!

Might stop by customer service next time you're in the warehouse and see what they say. I've gotten credit that way but there might be a 30 or 60 day window on that.

What's Costco's return policy on roombas? I want one for strictly carpet but unsure if this one will be good enough.

I have the T8+ with self empty and S5 Max.

The S5Max was a little bit better, but was planning to keep the T8+ for the self empty bin. The issue with the self empty is if there is too much dander in the bin, it does not empty well since it pulls from two smaller chambers on each side while I read the Roomba has one bigger chamber in the center that would likely prevent this. So every time I run the ecovac, I go check on it after it completes to see if it emptied. Tonight it did not fully self empty the bin so now I am considering this Roomba.

I would also feel better knowing it is from an American company, and thought I read somewhere it is made in USA in Massachusetts. I am going to pull the trigger and see how they all do.

how does this compare to the Ecovacs Deebot T8+, just robot vacuum to robot vacuum and neverminding the auto empty bins?

Which one cleans up and navigates around by itself better for hardwood floors?
This Roomba is 2 generations behind.

1. No object avoidance
2. No lidar

return anytime, does not fall under the 90 day electronics return policy as it is under the category "VACUUM"

If it's thin pile or rugs, or maybe medium it will be fine. If it's thick pile it won't. I've had the i7+ which is similar for a year. It's a lot better on carpet than the Roborock we also got, as well as our previous non-smart bumper-car-vac. But for the thick pile carpet we still use a full size Dyson ball vac.

Happy wife happy life they say finally found a deal on a irobot vacuum that works with the m6! First charge and run today after 17 people came through for Thanksgiving and I can say works great picking up leftovers or dog hairs. Little noisey but minor for the convenience of my robot team cleaning up with push of a button. Also +1 with the Mrs. always helps. Wink

I got the T8+ a week ago from bestbuy . It worked fine for three days and then there was a software update and all the maps were gone and it had to build the home map again .

Now there was another update yesterday and its been struggling to go back to the docking station and instead would go to a random room and go to rest mode there .

I was super happy the first three days as it was excellent but now am having second thoughts if there is something better out there i can return this and buy .
