What's Costco's return policy on roombas? I want one for strictly carpet but unsure if this one will be good enough.
I mean, I've returned half drank bottles of wine before... so I'm sure a Roomba is no issue lol

I world but Wyze has one now with more features about to come out for $200. It might not empty itself, can't recall, but software and suction wise much better from their ad.

I bought this unit a couple months ago and now I'm tempted to return to get this huge discount. Costco wouldn't just credit me would they?

I have the i7 (and apparently this is the Costco version of i7) and bought it about two weeks ago. I have been running it everyday, sometimes twice a day, because you gotta get the money's worth! I have three large dogs—one with long hair that sheds like crazy. Similar to a German shepherd.

I vacuumed tonight using my "real" vacuum (Shark) and was expecting next to nothing due to the amount of vacuuming the roomba has done. It was FULL. I was shocked. Am considering returning actually.

The i9 supposedly has 40x the suction so maybe that would be better for us pet owners??
No robot vacuum is going to touch an upright in terms of suction. They are for maintenance and are mainly good on hard floors. Unless you have only hard floors with no rugs, you'll want to use the upright or cordless at least occasionally

This Roomba is 2 generations behind.

1. No object avoidance
2. No lidar
Yet that benchmark T8 robot can only store 2 maps. Head scratcher of the generation.

I got the T8+ a week ago from bestbuy . It worked fine for three days and then there was a software update and all the maps were gone and it had to build the home map again .

Now there was another update yesterday and its been struggling to go back to the docking station and instead would go to a random room and go to rest mode there .

I was super happy the first three days as it was excellent but now am having second thoughts if there is something better out there i can return this and buy .

Same experience here. T8+ worked really great till the latest update and it could not find the charging station. Had to reset it and it is now relearning the house. I expect it to work great again...once it remaps the house.

what kind of floors do you have?

can you take a quick picture of the scratches?
We have engineered hardwood that is scraped. Less than two years old. There were minor in nature, but my wife certainly noticed them. She spent some time working on them so they would blend in with the floors.

I got the Wyze but I wouldn't pay more than $200 due to better customer service, parts, and carpet cleaning superiority from Roomba. I'm actually thinking about getting the Roomba i4 to compare carpet cleaning because Roombas are the best at that.

P.S. There is also no proof that Wyze has better software or suction in terms of real-world testing. If you look at Vacuum Wars on Youtube the Roombas beat many others at suction especially if you can afford the higher end ones.

How does this model compare with Roborock S5 Max and S6 MaxV? I know Roborock does not have the Automatic disposal capabilities, and I am fine with that.

Does anyone have this with fairly plush carpet? I recently bought new carpet and was told that if I use my Dyson it would void my carpet warranty. Loved my Dyson by the way. I bought a Bissell but not liking it much .Looking for something to use on thicker carpet, hoping this might be the answer. Thanks
We do and it will definitely "nibble" the carpet down... but tbh we've been running it daily for about 2 years and it's less plush but the carpet stays clean w two dogs, so with it in my opinion.

I Just bought the roomba 985 from them for $499. We liked the stronger suction. Is this one a better buy? We have 2 dogs. Mainly wood tile floor and we put it on carpet sometimes. We are replacing our 675 (I think that's the model)
Where?
