This seems better than the previous "hot" front page deal from BB:

HP - Pavilion 15.6" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 - 256GB SSD

It doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, but more memory/HD and a better processor? Which is the better deal??

This is obviously not great for gaming, with that said I have just bought one it's perfect for general non gaming use and the ram and SSD size are great. CPU also seems great, I'm used to Intel CPUs but this one is pretty strong

Seems like if you want other options, its cheaper to do the Ram and hard drive upgrades yourself.

Configure unit to $599 and apply coupon SMBHOL10 to take 10% off.

Below unit has:
+$10 Natural Silver Color
+$40 1920 x 1080 Non Touch Screen
+$70 512 GB PCIe NVME M.2 SSD
+$0 Full-Size Backlit Keyboard
+$10 Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX 200

Edit your configuration
Natural silver
Windows 10 Home 64 Plus
AMD Ryzen™ 7 4700U (2.0 GHz, up to 4.1 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, 8 cores) AMD Radeon™ Graphics
8 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 X 4 GB)
15.6" diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, micro-edge, BrightView, 250 nits
512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
Office Software Trial
Security Software Trial
3-cell, 41 Wh Lithium-ion prismatic Battery
No DVD or CD Drive
Full-size, backlit, natural silver keyboard with numeric keypad
HP Wide Vision 720p HD camera NSV
Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX 200 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5 combo (Supporting Gigabit file transfer speeds)
HP Pavilion 15 Laptop PC

Alternatively, you may configure unit with a Touch Screen and modify accordingly to get to at least $599,

Or

Purchase more than one to get above $599. Note that the second unit does not necessarily have to be the same unit.

You could purchase two touch screen units for about $521.99 each by downgrading the HD to 256GB and removing the Intel Wi-Fi AX 200... which I would highly recommend keeping. HD upgrades are fairly easy. The touch screen is not worth it in my opinion.

I think this deal becomes much better by purchasing two of the above configured units without the +$70 HD upgrades, bringing each unit down to $476.99.
What's the benefit of buying 2? I don't see any extra discount by adding 2.

Didn't this have the buzzing audio issue on Zoom that HP is unable to fix?

I think a really good deal also, for those that want more RAM or a 2TB SSD for instance, is getting the lowest configuration (+ WiFi 6 as it's $10) for $519.99 (click Customize and Buy here [hp.com]):

HP Pavilion 15 Laptop PC
Ceramic white
Windows 10 Home 64
AMD Ryzen™ 7 4700U (2.0 GHz, up to 4.1 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, 8 cores) + AMD Radeon™ Graphics
8 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 X 4 GB)
15.6" diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, micro-edge, BrightView, 250 nits
256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

and then doing upgrades by yourself (for instance, 2x16GB=32GB can be found for less than $100, and 2TB of SSD for less than $200).
The questions are now:
1) is it possible to upgrade the two slots of RAM and the SSD on that model?
2) does doing so void warranty?

I feel like this is close to the lowest we have seen for a 4700u.

I think its been discussed before ram upgrades dont void it and I imagine the ssd is even easier to replace than ram.

The deciding factor is if you need the gaming video card or not. This screen is better than the BB one. If you know how to do ram and add upgrade yourself, and then need a graphics card, the BB one all day. For any serious work, I always hook up to a big external monitor and never look at the laptop screen unless I have no choice or travelling.
