Believe it was $399 a couple weeks ago?
I've had my 36 BS for two years in Chicago. No issues but I use it year round and oil after each use. Highly recommend the griddle. Adds a whole new repertoire of things to cook. I've been looking at this model as well but am still contemplating the 36 with air fryers. The 4 burners and the extra room is very nice when cooking different things at the same time.

FIrst time I've become aware of "outdoor griddles" as opposed to grills. Just starting to research. A different Blackstone griddle on Amazon (model 1554) has many complaints about show-stopper rust. Trying to understand whether all these people failed to keep the surface seasoned properly or if this is a battle to perpetually fight w/outdoor griddles. FWIW, I'm in Boston, if that makes any difference. If anyone has insight from experience, I'd be interested, thanks

Just keep it seasoned after each use. I was up in Anchorage, Alaska in July, visiting my friend, he keep his Blackstone griddle outside the balcony throughout the year with the cover on and seasoned after each use. He has it for over three years, and there's no sign of any rust.

Check the reviews on blackstone customer service. It's absolutely abysmal and it's near impossible to get replacement parts. I have a 22" and the regulator broke on the 2nd use, which is extremely common per other people's reviews. It's so common that they made a video on how to reset it instead of addressing the root problem of cheap regulators.

There are a bunch of other brands. Consider looking around before you get stuck with one of these cheap Chinese grills.

For those that own this do you ever miss not having a normal propane grill? Can you search with this? Also what type of cleanup/maintenance goes with this? It looks awesome.

I have the 22" from Walmart when they had a deal on the Traveler's edition pre-covid which came with the stand, cover and the large propane bottle adapter. I've already gone through one 20lb tank of propane and probably halfway through my second with no problems with the gas regulator.

I'm looking for a replacement because the 22" has a very convex surface which causes liquidy foods to drain away from the center (eggs, pancakes, etc). I'll use the 22" for camping as it's more designed to be portable but want a more permanent one for my backyard now that I realize the griddle gets 10 times more use then my BBQ.

I want this but its such a luxury and I'm not sure how it will hold up outdoors in NY. I have a covered patio I coukd set it up under but propane under a roof was always a no no to me. (Plus I dont want the ceiling if the patio caked in soot and/or grease.

I get grilled wings from Buffalo Wild Wings every week. If this can make good air fryer wings it will pay for itself. Can anyone affirm whether it does or does not make good wings?

Admittedly, I also own a propane grill, however, I very rarely use it anymore. The food this thing puts out and the versatility it gives you is just amazing. You can't do everything you can do on a grill, however, you can do a ton of new stuff with the griddle top. The smash-burgers that it creates alone make it worth the purchase. Cleanup is super easy. As soon as you are done, Water/steam and scrape to grease hole in the back, then just re-oil like you would cast iron. I truthfully don't like cooking indoors as much anymore since this creates virtually zero dishes.

Better than a grill in so many ways. I recommend if you can only get one type. They hold up well in Chicago area. Get the covers (both hard and soft) and make sure you oil her after use. Cheers

I have the larger version of this. I used their NG conversion kit on both the grill and air fryer... use it twice a week religiously. You're NOT limited to propane if you are good with a wrench and gas line plumbers putty.

Do you think this model is enough with only two knobs? I was eyeing the 36" but this is the one on sale. Do you utilize the entire 36" cooking space?

Yep... it let's me to cook different items at once... or set aside and keep warm. Since the temp varies across the grill, its nice to have the extra space and flexibility. Plus I got an extra drawer on the air fryer so thats cool too.

Blackstone told me the 36" doesn't truly convert to NG like this 28" does.
