What's the difference between this series and this other 10 tb drive on sale.

Why does this one have a longer 5 year warranty and it's rated at 7200 rpm whereas the 10 tb is only a 3 year warranty and rated at 5400 rpm? Other than that they look the same. And are both Red Pro.

This is a Pro version. They are supposed to last longer and perhaps they are more resilient. This is what I put in my NAS system.

I see it now Pro and Plus. Too similar.

So worth the extra cost /tb? For the pro?

Yes, this was frontpage the last time it was sold for $132.99. Just $3 difference. I bought only one the other time and I am buying another one now. Yes, the difference is worth it definitely.

Actually I was comparing the price to the 10 tb Red plus drive that comes out to about $19/tb vs this drive at $23/tb. It's going to go into a 2 bay qnap. Thanks for your info it's really helpful building my first NAS.
