I bought this from the same seller a few months ago, it looked practically brand new. This is my first smart(ish) watch and I'm surprised at how useful it is. Big fan of the heart rate as I'm jogging so I know to control pace.

I bought this several months ago from the same place for the same price. It didn't look brand new but it was in very very good condition and was definitely worth it. I also have the garmin forerunner 35 and between the two I like to vivoactive 3 a little more. Good deal.

Hmm, that's a really great deal. Should I be concerned about battery life on a used item like this?

Amazon regularly has this ~$90 refurbished [amazon.com] and there's currently a Black Friday sale to get it for $129 new [amazon.com].

Just purchased it, thanks OP.

If you add $5 for the extra year of warranty, it adds accident protection (for one accident only). Check the warranty conditions for more info.

Since they are Refurbished by Garmin and come with 1 year warranty, I would think that won't be a big concern.

Bought this as well in August for the wife. Today the screen is washed out to the point you can barely see it. When you hold the screen for settings it just shows a washed out screen, can't see anything. I tried resetting but it didn't help.
Customer service Phoneline says they are not answering calls due to the Pandemic. My order shows a 2 year extended warranty, so hoping to get it replaced. Anyone have experience with warranty replacement?

Edit: Got a response already. I guess Garmin covers it the 1st year?
"The good news is you do qualify for a replacement under Garmin's 1 year warranty (Garmin covers the first year of the warranty)."

I was reading a review from 2019 that said you can't control which apps get notifications on the watch. Is that true? If so I think that's kind of a deal breaker, I would only want calls/texts/calendar reminders. Anyone with this can comment if that is accurate?

You can definitely control which apps show notifications on the watch. I have the Vivoactive 3 Music and can limit app notifications to specific apps.

I'm sure you can control that within the app. When I first got my Garmin it was giving me an alert for every single email, most of which was junk mail. I now only activate text messages and a few other things.
