You can get a pixel 4a 5G at 260-264$ after trading in a pixel 2 or 2 xl. This is the best trade in value for pixel I have found so far

Not everyone wants Google Fi. This is a great deal for those on other carriers that happen to have a 2-3 year old Pixel phone.

We have a couple Pixel 2 phones that are well beyond their prime. The batteries last only a few hours. And if you try to do a video call with 38% battery life, the phone shuts off and restarts. So they aren't very useful anymore. But trade-ins typically offer only $30-40. So $235 is fantastic.

It's my understanding that it'll work on the 4G LTE network. It is also capable of operating on the sub-6 network, but you have to have a plan that provides 5G access. This phone does not have a mmwave radio and therefore is unable to take advantage of Verizon's mmwave network where rolled out.

Seeing trade-in value of only like $42 for Pixel 2 in good condition. Is the deal dead?

Edit: I clicked on the Google Fi unlocked one, not "unlocked", so I guess that's why the trade-in value differed

I currently have a Pixel 3 and I'm pretty tempted to do this because my trade-in value actually came back as $275. However comparing a Pixel 3 to a 4A, sounds like it might be a little bit of a downgrade on the 5G. Any comments?

https://www.androidauthority.com/...e-1146284/ says
the modern flagship Pixel 3 and, by extension, the newer Pixel 4 offer enough bells and whistles that moving to the Pixel 4a would be a notable downgrade.

Dang, only $33 for OG Pixel XL 128GB.
Why not keep it for unlimited photo storage at original quality?

Interested... doesn't really seem to be an upgrade over my Pixel 3 though... and I don't care about 5G at this point.... and I don't want to pay the premium for 1st gen 5G that I don't need anyway.

No, I was seeing 349 for both non-5g and 5g versions. I am on Google fi plan though. Maybe that's why.but I see a higher trade-in value now for pixel 3xl 148-> 295. It's just a number game for them.

What do you mean? Aren't they getting rid of unlimited storage. My Pixel trade in value is $23 using Pixel3 now

I'm glad I waited for this. My pixel 2 will be upgraded to something worthy.

Except the processor, display size and water resistance. Pixel 4a 5g is an upgrade. More ram, screen size, 5g

Kind of... but rational analysis says that I should wait another year... and not give up wireless charging and water resistance on my Pixel 3... or buy a 1st gen 5G device.
