You can get a pixel 4a 5G at 260-264$ after trading in a pixel 2 or 2 xl. This is the best trade in value for pixel I have found so far

Not everyone wants Google Fi. This is a great deal for those on other carriers that happen to have a 2-3 year old Pixel phone.

We have a couple Pixel 2 phones that are well beyond their prime. The batteries last only a few hours. And if you try to do a video call with 38% battery life, the phone shuts off and restarts. So they aren't very useful anymore. But trade-ins typically offer only $30-40. So $235 is fantastic.

It's my understanding that it'll work on the 4G LTE network. It is also capable of operating on the sub-6 network, but you have to have a plan that provides 5G access. This phone does not have a mmwave radio and therefore is unable to take advantage of Verizon's mmwave network where rolled out.

courtesy credit for long wait support time? I was 72nd in queue once .. but I gave up when I moved to 63 after waiting for an hr. What was your story? How much was credit?
Just $10 but a nice freebie which made my dual nest mini purchase pretty much almost free (when stacked upon the already $50ish I got in store credit by changing my Google one acct to 2tb monthly while making this pixel 5w 4g purchase). the wait to talk to them was like an hour or 2

I was initially denied of my trade-in bc the trade-in was cracked (which I mentioned at the time). After back n forth with support for ~ 2 weeks, finally got them to honor the trade-in value of $225 for cracked pixel 2.

I got my trade in at full value recently but
last night I think I accidently tapped something when trying to get the phone out my pocket.
It says esim is not active and cant activate. I have only three days remaning, phone and number still shows up in Google Fi account.

On google Fi app there is an activate link though.

What is the best way just wait or contact customer service? I dont really trust customer service and dont want to complicate even more by letting them know.

My pixel 2 was sent back on 12/16/20 and was just delivered today 1/14/21 (per USPS website). And that was after filing a missing mail report a few weeks ago where they tried to tell me it was delivered they just did not do a delivery scan. We'll see how this goes. I'm slightly optimistic based on the experiences here.
Alright. So I got a value of $32.00, which the email said was because it was outside the 30 day window. I spoke with chat who tried to tell me it was because the screen was cracked. I told them the email did not say the screen was cracked (and it wasn't when I sent it to them). They said they would escalate and get back to me in a few days.

For those of you who got a value of $32 for the pixel 2 initially, was that the value due to a cracked screen or the value due to the being outside the 30 day window?

I've been in dispute with Google for about 2 weeks now. They have straight up lied and said that my screen was cracked when I know with 100% certainty that it was not when I shipped it out. They have only given me $32 and have offered $50 Google credits. I said that that's not something I will accept.

My next step is filing dispute with my credit card company.

As a follow up for me, after their escalated review, I received the rest of the amount as a courtesy credit. At least that's what the email said. I have yet to get it back on my card, but I think that's just a formality. Many thanks to every who shared their experiences. They were very helpful. I'm sorry that so many had so many issues with this trade in deal. I definitely do not think I will be doing something like this again with google.

I did two trade ins and only got 35$ for each one. Both trade ins were in perfect condition so I was extremely mad. Had to contact CS and they investigated. After a day or so I was told a refund was given for the difference.
Two weeks later still no refund has to respond again and then they finally pushed the refund through.
Never again....

If you do this just be aware that your Google account (Gmail, Photos, Docs, etc) is likely going to get nuked.

It was stated you needed to send in your old phone within 30 days on one of the pages. Did you think you could send it in a year later?
