The only thing that has kept me from buying these last few months is the tn panel. Idk if the colors would be a deal breaker if I got the monitor, and I don't really want to risk it

They could be. I would say get this if your main use case is gaming/productivity. The 1ms response time and 144Hz is great for gaming. For photo editing and media consumption, this isn't it. IPS>VA>TN for color/black levels, etc.

Yea I have a 1080p LG ultragear ips from Costco. Not sure the exact model, but I think it sets the bar pretty high for me lol

I wanted one of these to pair as a second monitor to the 34 inch ultra wide alienware. But as a second monitor, I don't really need it to be this good. It's just that this one has the perfect dimensions next to the alienware. Gonna have to give it a hard think. Price is pretty good.

The review from rtings isn't the best if you care about colors: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...l/s2719dgf

The tl;dr from rtings-
PROS
Extremely fast response time.
Incredibly low input lag.

CONS
Bad dark room performance.
Image loses accuracy at an angle.

From rtings: "The S2719DGF is a decent monitor for mixed usage. It has a very fast response time that leaves only minimal blur and a very low input lag to enhance the gaming experience. It has great size and resolution to allow you to multitask, and it can get bright enough to combat glare in most office environments. Unfortunately, it lacks good dark room performance with a low contrast ratio and terrible black uniformity."

I'm not sure if they use the same panel but I have the TN GSYNC version of this monitor and the colors are really good with some calibration (not just for a TN, but good.... not ips good obviously)

I have one of these and it looks great. Even better if you use the color settings in nvidia control panel and turn the gamma down just a little (1.00 to .9).

I have 2 of these and with proper Calibration you can barely tell they are TN. These are highly rated and a fantastic deal.

What did you use to calibrate the monitor?

This article explains settings and then tells you about setting up ICC profiles. Once I did that this monitor was an amazing value.
