Main use is for browsing and some microsoft programs, nothing heavy duty. There are no issues with current MBR and it performs well still.

I tend to be conservative when it comes to purchasing computers and only when performance becomes a hinderance do I look to replace what I currently have and I'm getting close to that point after 3-4 years of the same desktop/laptop setup. Anyhow, I, like you, was able to find a Macbook Pro M1 at Best Buy at a "Satisfactory" level which dropped the price down to like $960. So yeah, I picked it up and I love the battery life. There are compatibility issues with some apps and my USB-C monitor doesn't work with it, even using the latest 11.1. So yeah there are some issues but for light tasks and some 3D modeling it works well and battery lasts two days of usage.

Ordered on the 26th and still no update from backordered either. But I'm sure it's one of those Murphy's Law things where the day you cancel, it would have shipped and arrived the next day...

Ordered on the 27th in NY. Still waiting for it ship. I have a feeling they're selling these in their B&M location at full retail price while holding these orders on back-order until the holidays blow over.

Anyone know a way to get cash for Apple store credit? I decided to return my Macbook Air and since I used giftcards I will have a $900 Apple Account Balance

Mine too. Ordered on the 28th. Dark Gray, not sure if it's less common therefore longer wait, but still say Backordered. Good thing I'm not in a super hurry.

Update on mine: I had ordered November 26th, it finally arrived this week - and when I opened it, I discovered the top cover had a bunch of scratches on it.

Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed and will be returning it for a refund. Now I'm wondering...did they ship me a returned/refurb unit, and was that the cause for the month-long delay? Last time I order from Adorama...

Ordered on December 01. payment Charged but no signs from Adorama. This is the worst experience ever. Looking at all the comments above I stay away from them. My last purchase from Adorama.
