Yup Fry's is dying or almost dead already...
One could even tell by looking at their advertisement.
Last time I heard, vendors won't give Fry's products because they owed so much and their situation kept getting worse.
It's a shame really, cuz Fry's BF deal used to have many good deals and I used to look forward to looking at their ads, especially BF ad.

I already bought this for $100 and was thinking about getting another one. But SSD prices are still expected to drop a bit in Q1 of 2021. I'll wait since I don't really need it.

The Frys near me actually have it in stock. When I was there a year ago, I was taken aback by all those empty shelves -- I hadn't been there for over a year . I didn't know they were having financial problems and had to google it.

After arguably the worst, most frustrating mobile shopping experience of 2020, I was able to complete my order. Thanks, OP. Seriously, Frys might have the single worst e-commerce site on the internet.
I agree it's bad.. but their website and online shopping system have always been bad. Always had server crash/bugs/etc during BF.. I guess they won't have server crash problems and the likes anymore since there's no traffic.

I don't get what the problem with their site is...
It looks dated sure, but functionally there is no issue and pages load fast.

Add item to cart. Select guess checkout. Enter address info (easily auto-fills). Next page enter payment info (again, auto-fills). Finally confirm and order processed. That is essentially the same for any other website on the internet (except for something like Amazon with single click purchase). I haven't purchased anything from their site in years because their prices have been crap, but checkout process is just fine for what it needs to be.

I'm hoping amazon price matches too, although unlikely since this is a $99 with $10 off vs an actual selling price of $89. Also Amazon already stated that the 99 is their black Friday price!
Using Amazon credit card give you 10% cash back. Wink

Fry's is toast. They're closing all but 3 of their remaining stores by the end of the year.
That's sad. I used to love going there. I'd be in there almost every day back in 2011-2015.

Where is that information found that they are closing all but three stores?

And this is just one of the reasons why Fry's is slowly dying.
I thought they were already dead. No frys on the east coast anyway, but I am lucky enough to have a microcenter about 15 min away depending on traffic.

Good find, OP. Sad that Fry's gone downhill in the last few years, store shelves are mostly empty, and their ads are pathetic looking, offering almost the same stuff over and over again. Used to shop there at least once a month. And their BF offerings used to be something exciting, with the hourly promo keeping one stuck to the site. Well those happy days are gone. Sad for all B&W sellers 😥

when i went to the website i got a popup from R.aukten that you can get 12% cashback so the total comes out $88 from Dell. potential option for those that dont have a Fry's near by and dont want to pay for shipping.
