No. Merlin only works on Broadcom CPUs, this has a Qualcomm CPU.

Perfect for my parents. Their router is ten years old. Tried to freaking update the firmware today and it said error. Turns out it's a known problem and linksys could care less.

How does it compare with TP Link AC1900, for additional $20?

Upgrade over an Apple Airport Extreme? No problems with it right now but if it has better range, that helps the WyzeCams I have around my place.

Little advice please.

Would this be a upgrade to a 3 year router I have below?

Medialink AC1200 Wireless Gigabit Router - Gigabit (1000 Mbps) Wired Speed & AC 1200 Mbps Combined Wireless Speed (Part# MLWR-AC1200R)
You say gigabit wired but are all ports gigabit? It may be a little better than the one you have now, but personally would fork out a bit more for something a bit better anyways if you already have what you have.

I need range not some crazy speeds (my internet is 200mbps) and just stability. I don't connect 100 devices, maybe 20 tops, and that includes wired units. Wireless I am probably at less than 10.
What do you recommend?
My netgear R6700 sucks.

My internet is only 75 mbps. What I need now is something that won't bottleneck. Coming from an Asus RT-N12 do you think I should go with your linked one or the Amazon one? The microwave now gets to mine and Hue motion sensors take forever to activate the lights.

I moved to the Tp-link when my Asus ax router crapped out after less than a year. At any given time I have 30+ devices connected to it mostly wireless without any issues.
