This has a lifespan of 13 months (in my instance with regular use). It looks like it is designed to fail after 1 month beyond the warranty period and literally less than 1% take the trouble to file a warranty claim (time and effort to file the warranty is more than the cost of the item). Be warned!
this comment is absolute nonsense and is exactly opposite of the experience hundreds of SDers have had. it's a damn shame to see a SD Pro trashing Anker like this based on one highly-suspect experience.

1) these cables have a lifetime warranty. not 1 year.
2) one cable failing after 13 months does not make the cable "designed to fail 1 month after warranty"
3) the warranty claim process is simple and straightforward. you send them the ID number of the cable and your proof of purchase and you get a new cable in the mail.
4) "literally less than 1% take the trouble"... what kind of speculative statistician are you?

We had one of these cables break after a month a few days ago. It was a very solid cable, and we already bought another one while we wait for warranty. Sometimes things break..

Bought one black and one white. Coupon worked for 2 cables and $2 digital credit for slow ship.

Any cheap USB C wall plug suggestions? Otherwise I'll wait until another MFI lightning to USB A deal.

Ive enjoyed using the Powerline series. Ive had a lightning to USB cable for 3 years now and its never failed me. Little bit of wear and tear on the rubbery sleeve where the cable meets the connector. Purchased a black lightning to USB-C about a month ago Seems a bit more sturdy.

what is the advantage of this over a regular USB? Does it allow faster transfer rates or charging?
