Not gonna lie, that is a gorgeous monitor. Not up for putting a grand into it, but if I had a proper gaming desktop instead of a lap I'm used to I'd consider it. Will live with my 25 and 32 for now but that would be fun with maybe a 3xxx geforce or one of the newer stronger radeons.
This monitor gets HORRIBLE quality reviews all over the internet. Great deal but BUYER BEWARE. Read the reviews and PROCEED WITH CAUTION. My son is a gamer and deliberately steered clear of this one.
Just watched a review I'm glad I didn't get it. If you plan to use HX arm, which is almost the only one monitor arm may be able it hold this monster, it's barely working because the center of weight is leaning forward due to the 1000R curve. I didn't dig more into the because the other monitor I was waiting for finally back in stock. Just heads up if you plan to use monitor arm. Do more research before pulling the trigger

are you sure youre talking about the latest model? The old model was riddled with quality issues which should have been fixed in this recent (this deal) model

My apologies! I just realized you are speaking of the G97T and not the G9! I hope they did indeed fix all of the issues!

I tried to get the samsung discount earlier this week, but inventory never refreshed.
I ended up getting the amazon for 160 dollars more and the older 95 model and not the 97 model.
That being said, I have it on my desk right now, and I don't have any issues with the panel or the GSYNC at this time.
I have dual 3017 ultrasharps at work that I mirror on this and when i'm done with work. I drop it down to 1080 and run at 240 hz for overwatch. (it doesn't support UW gaming).
It's more important that it has 240hz. I would never get the 120 hz version unless t supported 240@ 1080 which I don't think it does.
Just a word of warning, those of you who want to use this at 240 hz at 5120x1440, you will need 2000 or 3000 series GPU with nvidia, or you will need to be on the 5000 series for AMD.
It's a gorgeous monitor otherwise. I have a 1080ti and can't take advantage of the 5120x1440 240 hz at this point, but i'll end up getting a 3070 or 3080 once availability is a bit better.

A good rule of thumb is check your favorite game benchmarks in 4k. This monitor will game very close to the same FPS as a 4k monitor so choose your GPU accordingly. I play Warzone a lot and based on benchmarks I would need an RTX 3090 to push this 100 fps.
This price is good, better than Samsung's BF deals on two older/previous 49" ultra curve monitors.
This model and the prev, CRG9, require more recent & higher end GPU to do what they claim to do.
I'm still running an old GTX 1080 8GB, so I just went with the cheapest model, $750 from amzn BF sale. Left over budget would probably go towards Ergotron HX + kit (~$300). Very expensive monitor to mount!
