"Energy efficiency" as a selling point haha, all electric heaters are 100% efficient at converting electricity to heat.

Im cool with people using these for feral cats, but folks if its *your* cat it shouldn't be outside except while in a cat "run" or on a leash. Having outdoor cats is terrible for the cats and terrible for the animals the cats so efficiently wipe out.

Some put out constant watts. This one puts out constant heat. If Kitty is 100f on the outside, the unit will draw zero watts. If kitty is cold, the unit will draw 20 watts till kitty is warm.

What part is terrible for the cat? Some cats are much happier having some outdoor space and hunting rodents is probably great for their mental health and it's exercise.

quit assuming everyone lives in a city. All my cats have lived 15 + years being outdoor. I live in a rural area. We have them for pest control. They take care of field mice because we have animals. They have access to the barn and our garage. We have heated beds and they're always up to date on their shots

In for three!

Literally building a feral cat shelter (or three) right now in the garage as winter is coming. But this looks like it is more for indoors and can be tight for space. Be aware that you can (and should) have some sort of towel or bedding for outdoor cats who bring in dirt and need the bedding changed. I'm unsure about how easy it is for this one.

It's 20% off as well. This one has a front/back door (easy escape) and room enough for me to throw in a towel (and pull it out to get washed / replaced) for the cats.

I bought something similar to this for an outdoor kitty and I gained a family of possums instead. And let me tell ya, those things make a mess everywhere. Once they moved out I trashed it.
