so Pro Plus is basically steering us in to a subscription based model for Quickbooks itself, in addition to the payroll subscription?

Seems like it. This is the first I'm learning about it, so I don't know too much. It would appear, that at the end off your subscription, you have your company file but cant use Quickbooks. So, you have to buy a new license every year.

ps. I really hate subsciption model anything, but accept their Payroll, because it's constantly being updated with new rules, etc.

I bought Pro with Enhanced Payroll last year for $200. I guess this year we are gonna be spending extra $50 for "features" we don't need. I wish there was an alternative to Quickbooks.

I'm going to give until Monday, to see if anything better shows up for Cyber Monday. If nothing better shows up, buy this. See if I can just use the license key to update my Payroll, and stay with Pro 2020. If not, then install Pro Plus.

FYI, do not use new license key to update your Payroll subscription unless it expires soon. Quickbooks won't add 12 months to your current subcription and you will end up losing whatever you have remaining of current subscription.

Thanks, I'm aware. I'm usually the guy who posts the Black Friday QB deals, because my payroll expires mid December. It usually works well for timing. And for anyone else, unless things have changed, you have 60 days from purchase to activate your license.

U sure about 60 days? I've waited over six months from last years deal to activate mine. My sub expires in June. Keep in mind last year's deal was for actual physical disc. This is digital delivery.

I really hope it's more than 60 days.

+1 for having used a payroll code to renew more than 60 days after purchase (with past deals, unsure about current)

Can't be 60 days. I activated my payroll subscription more than 3 months after the purchase.
