For those who prefer a 16:10 monitor with 1920x1200 resolution rather than 1920x1080. I purchased two of these @$165 and they have been great. Better image quality than my other two U2412. These also include the same 3-year warranty as the UltraSharp series.
  • IPS Panel
  • 1920x1200 resolution
  • Ports include: HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA, and USB 3.0
  • Fully adjustable stand - tilt, height, rotate
  • Brightness: 300 cd/m²

Here is the previous thread posted when these were $165.

Well, for one thing, These are 1920 x 1200 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio). Your Lenovos are the more common 1920 x 1080 resolution (16:9).

With these Dells, you would get more vertical space than your typical ~24" monitors. Useful for viewing portrait mode documents and files. More vertical display for web browsing, too.

16:10 monitors tend to be more expensive than 16:9 monitors because of the mass production of 16:9s. The TV and movie industries popularized 1080p and the monitor manufacturers followed suit, even though 16:10 is better for computer use.
I don't think these are quite as good as the 2415s. For one, doesn't look like they can be daisy chained, and these are 300 cd/m2 vs 350 on the 2415. I'm sure they are still very good monitors for the majority of people. Just missing a couple additional features.

... and since you can't find u2415s or the replacement u2421 for anywhere close to this price, this is a great deal.

These are VESA btw, per Dell chat. Thanks, got two in the cart, site a bit hammered. (Had to put each in cart individually). Will mostly use these for web surfing in portrait mode. Don't game or even watch youtubes, other than SpaceX launches.

I thumbs upped because these are good for what they are, and a good deal to boot, BUT, fair warning, these are not gaming monitors.

Is there a 16:10 gaming monitor out there?

How do these compare to the Ultrasharp line? For example the U2419H.

Nice! I was unaware that they had updated this line. One of my favorite work monitors. My daughter uses an older one we have had for years for remote schooling and it's great for that.

Pro for me is that this deal is a 16:10 Aspect Ratio monitor vs 16:09 for the U2419H.

Nice Deal. 1920x1200 is much better than the usual 1080p panels. I used the U2415 for the longest time before jumping to 4k.

I have 5 monitors hooked up to my primary productivity machine.... and they are all 16:10. It makes a difference.

See attached image for my arrangement... if you are interested.

@Spiffywerks, there's nothing in the user manual that I see that says you can daisy chain this monitor.

Thanks for verifying. That's what I had thought. This monitor cannot be daisy chained.

The U series can. U2415, U2421. They have DP in/out ports that allow it.

But again, for what it is - it's still a good monitor at a great price. Daisy chain and brighter monitor are use cases that may not apply to most users.
